Chapter 74

She felt his strong fingers gently pulling her towards him, warmth in his hands and his fragrant scent. "Orig," she called out, a shy smile spreading across her beautiful face. It had been a while since they had been alone. 

"Where are you going? That's not the way to our room, Taya," 

Orig whispered in her ear, purposely letting his fingers brush her body. She gave a light turn, facing him. "I was going to meet..." 

Taya trailed off, thinking, 'Will he be angry if he finds out I wanted to see King Arthur?' She shook her head, dismissing the thought. Before she could say anything more, Orig lifted her into his arms.

His heartbeat remained steady, but hers was like a wild dance. A bitter smile spread across her lips, 'What's the point of all my attempts to win a kiss, if he's never going to love me?' 

When Orig laid her gently on the bed, her eyes were sad. He furrowed his brows in confusion. Hadn't she just been in a good mood?
