Qin Mingmei did not feel a bit nervous as she sat before the Huo family. She was rather very excited that Huo Zilan had revealed their relationship and the fact that they would be getting engaged next week.

No matter what, the Huo family could no more postpone their engagement or stop them from getting engaged because the whole world knew now.

"Zilan...", Lu Xizhao was filled with disappointment as she looked at her son. They had just interacted the previous day and he had not even thought of informing his very own mother!

Huo Zilan caught the look of disappointment in his mother's eyes and he immediately looked away. He knew that everyone seated here was not happy with what he had done but he did not care.

All that mattered to him was that he had been able to prove to himself and to Qin Mingmei that the only person he truly loved was her.

Lu Xizhao sighed helplessly but decided not to say a word. She knew how stubborn her only son could be.
