As I make my way over the skies of the narrow sea, my thoughts are a wirlwind.
It's been two days since the incident I had with the now named nova flying beside brightfyre and I.
Flashback
As we land on the ground I slide off the back of the way from the unknown dragon.
It lands with a flurry of dust kicking up that I was sheilded from by my own firey companion.
I can't see what's going on but I can hear snapping of teeth and short, deep growls coming from both winged creatures.
Soon all that can be is short chirps. I decide to look around brightfyre to see what's happening only to almsot run into the head of the black dragon.
Both her purple eyes are set on me and I'm scared. This dragon isn't bonded to me. She's wild from my observation. But these observations are broken when she brings her skinny head forward and all but demands with those bright purple orbs of fire that I give her pats.
I give in to such a request and when my palm meets her snout, I receive a beautiful purr in return. I slowly relax and begin to run my hand up and down the steel like scales of the dragoness.
Then a thought pops into my head, 'with two dragons, why not get an army of my own?' Trying to come up with plans for doing my own version of what Daenerys did in essos.
Flashback end
————————-
After the initial tense meeting, nova and I got along super well.
Though it pales in comparison to how well I see both she and my own firey friend get along. If my thoughts are right I'll need to get to a safe haven asap so she can lay eggs. Can't let such things get into someone else's hands.
That brings me to my plans for this war I'll inevitably fight when I'm 27-29ish
By then I'll have children of my own I imagine. Something that scares me but also drives my need for a safe haven.
Everything on the mainland of westeros is dumb to think about. For starters, there's not a single piece of land that isn't alresdy claimed by one family or another.
Whether that be dorne or the Targaryens and their wardens, everything has been claimed aside from north of the wall. A place I definitely don't want to live.
While I enjoy the cold as much as anyone, my dragons wouldn't like it. That and there I'd almsot certainly become king beyond the wall. That would cause all sorts of other issues.
There's also the issues of the triarchy that will form soon, causing problems on…. The… stepstones. Yes. That's perfect.
While the stepstones may be essentially a useless pile of rocks, that also means nobody cares to actually hold it.
If I can do that no only will I have the ability to be a part in seatrade which is THE thing to get into for money in a world such as this.
With my knowledge of ships and goods from the 21st century it won't take any time at all to have the stepstones up and running into a workable keep.
Not only that, but the Valyrian method of melding mortar and stone will be essential to making my territory worthwhile.
Created by the earthsingers trying to deter the invasion of first men into westeros, the stepstones holds incredible value.
Not only that. But I can take away the issues between daemon and his brother, as well as Corlys and the king.
I'll wait until Corlys begins to lose ships to make my attack. That should give me enough time to gather at least one or two people competent and trustworthy enough to reveal my plans to. Though such things are a long shot, I know where to look to find hidden gems.
My next issue is marriage.
I will not under any circumstances marry any Lannister, Baratheon, tyrell, Hightower,or Tully women. In my opinion only first men women and Valyrian stock are the choices.
Say whatever you wish about the andals, the majority of them are backstabbing cunts. My evidence you say? Let's look at what I know about my favorite book series.
Lann the clever, the founder of house Lannister won the castle by betraying the casterlys. His line is literally born of a backstabbing piece of trash.
Next, house Tully. During the game of thrones timeline, when Roberts rebellion occurred, hoster Tully forced eddard stark to marry catelyn in order for his troops to pass through the river lands and not support the mad king.
Support the mad king because a man won't marry your daughter? Yea. No house Tully bride for my family.
House Baratheon you say? Hmm well in about 13 years boros baratheon allows aemond Targaryen to ambush and kill lucerys Velaryon. His blood. Under guestright even. Imagine. No. That along with river baratheons display of king hood when he sat the throne were enough to turn me off any black haired blue eyed women.
The tyrells? Well, they've only been in power for barely over 100 years. Not only that, but the reach is where the faith of the seven is strongest. No doubt manh women from that region would be insufferable just by the things they say in accordance with the sevens teachings.
Back to house tyrell though, mace and olenna sold Margery to each highest bidder everytime one came around.
'Thrice wedded and never bedded' was Margery tyrell. A funny thing as far as stories go. But the reality is sad.
That's one thing I promise myself right now as I fly aboce the night sky of this new and beautiful world I inhabit. 'My children will never be pawns on a board to be sacrificed because of an army or wealth.'
I wouldn't be opposed to marrying into the starks, reeds, Aryns, Royce, Targaryens, velaryons, hell even the black woods.
All have one of the two things I'm looking for. Magical blood.
Such things are key in the power of a bloodline. Especially a dragon blooded one.
While my children will not be forced to marry anyone. They will have parameters. These families. And when I tell them the reason hopefully they'll understand.
The only other option is marrying bother to sister. Not something I wish to do.
So in an effort to keep magic strong in our blood, we will Marry magical people.
One other family I wouldn't be mad about marrying would be the daynes.
I've never seen the ashara character, but if she was half as beautiful as the books made her out to be, then that alone would turn any man's head.
Beautiful dark sun kissed skin reminiscent of Latin America or the Middle East, with haunting purple eyes? Cmon now.
But anyway, I decide to land on one of the unnamed steostones. Barely a little dot beside the disputed lands on the lys side of the chain of islands.
I fall asleep that night thinking about how I'm going to make my moves to get a safe place in this world full of chaos.
