Obviously, scamming is a crime. But burglary and theft is also a crime and that was what Sophia, Vinny and Kevin were going to commit.
"Let's go," said Kevin
"Where?" Vinny asked
"..."
It was obvious. None of them had skills for breaking and entering, and certainly not theft.
Sophia suggested, "Why don't we just break a window?"
"That'll make a lot of noise," said Kevin "But what other chave do we have?"
"Breaking in," said Vinny.
Kevin shrugged. "Guess we'll have to go with Sophia's plan then. If that your name, right?"
His gaze then landed on Sophia.
"Umm, yeah," she stammered.
"Okay. Come on," Kevin beckoned
The two followed behind Kevin. They made sure not to make a sound and crawled below the windows. The three weren't skillful, but they still were going to get the job done. Their lives depended on it.
Vinny slowed down his pace and allowed curiosity get the better of him. He began to peek his head upward, and started to spy through the window. Inside he saw a couple of people; some standing others sitting. They were sitting in front of desks with laptops and landlines. Some were typing while others were speaking on the phone.
"That seems likes a boring job. No wonder its a crime," Vinny mumbled to himself.
Suddenly one of men turned his head to the window. It was like he had heard Vinny's mumblings.
Vinny quickly ducked and fastly crawled away.
The guy in the warehouse on the other hand, was stilling staring at the window. He began to walk towards the window, until one of his college called him.
He asked, "Hey, what's wrong?"
"Nothing. But I thought I saw a fire with green eyes looking at me," said.
"Are you on drugs?"
"..No. Well, not now."
Vinny caught up with the other two. They were visually upset, confused and nerve-wracked.
"Where were you?" Sophia inquired as low as possible while shouting.
Vinny responded by saying, "I was just taking a peek through the window."
Kevin asked, "Did anyone see you?"
"Nah... well I think so," said Vinny.
"Hey, mind you fucking blow this thing," yelled Kevin in a low voice.
Sophia added, "And get us killed."
" Yo, chill out It not's like anyone can beat me in a fight, unless they are stronger than me."
Sophia and Kevin both scoffed. "Ugh."
Kevin tried to open a nearby window. The three were now at the back of warehouse. It seemed as if the window wasn't the sliding type.
"Just break it," Sophia said.
"Punch it-" Vinny was then cut off.
Kevin kicked the window inwards. The glass cracked and shattered pieces cut his pants. His leg, however, didn't take any injuries.
"I prefer to use my legs," said Kevin.
"That is why, bro," responded Vinny.
Kevin was confused "What?"
"Nothing," Vinny quickly said.
"Whatever," said Kevin. "Let's go."
Inside the warehouse, the occupants heard something similar to glass shattering. Most of them were alerted while others were confused or not paying attention.
"What the fuck was that?" inquired, one of the men. "*Cough, Cough!* Hey! The two of you go check that out."
The man in question was quite large and obese male who was also bald. He had tattoos all over his body and wore a tank-top and grey shorts. He also possessed a cigarette that he was constantly smoking and he also seem to be the boss of the place.
The two individuals he sent were males with black hair and brown eye. They wore brown and black shirt with black shirts.
They got up and went to the next room after opening the door. The room was dark, musty and had cobwebs all over. Dust infested the ground and air, making it hard to see and breathe without getting webs on your face or breathing in clusters of dust.
"Damn bastard. He thinks that we're his servant or something," said one of the males. "All I wanted was to make quick, thick and heavy dough, but look what I'm doing here."
The other snarled, "Stop yapping and take out your phone, so we can see."
"Argh."
Before the guy could take out his phone and turn on the flashlight, he was tackled to ground. The other guy turned around with his phone on flashlight and he saw his companion taking hooks to the face.
He yelled, "Hey!*
Before he could do anything, Kevin, whe was airborne, kicked him face first into the wall. His face was buried in the wall and be fell unconscious or possibly dead.
"Really? Vinny inquired "He anly took three punches and logged out on me."
His adversary was now unconscious as blood from his nose.
Kevin asked, "Where in Sophia??"
"Here," said a feminine voice from the back of a dusty shelf.
"Come on," said Kein in an irritated voice. "You two are both pissing me off tonight."
She said, "No, you can go on without me You guys seem capable by yourself. Besides, how am I going to defend myself."
Vinny glanced at a nearby broom. He walked towards it and picked it up. He then broke the brush part off with his knee and went behind the dusty shelf where he found Sophia.
"Here," said Vinny waving the wooden sticks around.
"You can swing it," he wild waved, the stick around making Sophia dodge some of them.
Vinny jabbed the sharp end at Sophia, but only slightly. "And you can stab it, and hopefully not kill anyone with it."
Sophia took the stick from Vinny and he began to walkaway.
"Bastard," said Sophia.
Vinny and Kevin stood, behind the door with Sophia behind them. Kevin held the doorknob.
Kevin inquired, "Ready."
Vinny nodded. ".. For what?" he shrugged.
Kevin sighed.
He then quickly opened the door and ran though. Vinny also ran out right behind. Sophia walked out slowly.
She sighed. "Why?"
The rest of the residents of the warehouse were now fully alert as they saw three different individuals from the two that were sent in.
"The fuck is going o-?" Before one of males could be finish his sentence, he was straight punched in the face, which was then dented inwards. He fell unconscious.
Another was back kicked in the abdomen, which was followed by a roundhouse kick to the ears.
Vinny grabbed one by the head and knees his opponent in the face. When he landed, he tossed two jabs at two individuals, followed by straight to another, a cross and a overhand punch. All fell unconscious from Vinny's fury of attacks.
Kevin ran away from the crowd, but not before low kicking someone followed by a kick in the face. He finished off with a axe kick to the ribs for another individual.
"Yo!" Vinny called after head butting someone. "Where are you going?"
Kevin replied, "The files aren't here, so I'll check somewhere else!"
Kevin then kicked opened another door. It lead to a dark and large room.
"Hey, get the girl!" shouted one of the men.
Hearing this, three guys were after Sophia.
Sophia was now shaking her hand in fear.
"What am I going to do?" she asked her in worry.
Before one of the guys could grab her, she jab her stick a the mandibular angle of the jaw. This knocked her opponent out. She then began to slash and swing the wooden stick wildly, luckily striking their carotid sinus and temple with enough force to knock them out.
"Ahhh - huh?" Sophia inquired.
She looked down to see the three men laying unconsciously at her feet.
"When did this happen?"
The room Kevin was now in was littered with giant wooden boxes and surprisingly the place was kept clean. The windows were marked with gray curtains.
"Where would I store files for people I wanted to scam. Probably in a my damn phone, but that is already crossed of," pondered Kevin. "So, in my draws maybe under my mattress."
Kevin spotted stairs leading to a second floor. He began to climb them. They were made of iron and made a squeaking noise every time he took a step, which meant it was old.
Kevin said, "These stairs are endless."
Eventually, he made it to the second floor. Up there he saw windows a swalls that illumated the place with moon light. There was a lone desk and chair with a table lamp on it.
"I feel like the files are here, but that'll be stupid to put it there," said Kevin to himself.
"They're alright," said a voice.
Kevin began look around. He didn't see anyone which means that the voice came from the desk or behind desk, most likely.
"Who's there?" inquired Kevin with a hint of confusion.
"It's me, talentless," said the voice. This time, the figure that was speaking was now visible.
It was Lloyd.
"But you shouldn't know that by now, talent."
