Sebastian's POV
My mood shouldn't have been affected by the young lady's decision, but I didn't think this was the time for her to be having less protection. She even needed more.
"Hardin had found you where?"
I knew what she meant, but she didn't know that. She exhaled, but only shook her head. "That's another thing that Mister Lennon would explain to you."
So, she didn't want to give me a good reason to break the engagement but needed it broken? "You know you signed a contract, right? It wasn't a joke."
Her brows tightened. My eyes went to the man behind her. Apart from his gaze and appearance, he didn't seem like he was here for anything other than guarding.
"You can have a seat, sir. This might take a while." I pointed at a seat some steps behind him.
