Adeline's eyes remained locked on Edward as she took a deep breath, trying to steady her thoughts. "What's your plan?" she asked.
Edward smirked, tilting his head slightly as he leaned back into his chair. "Straight to the point, I see. I expected nothing less."
Adeline didn't have time for his games. "What can I do to take Annora down? I need to bring my friends back."
Edward's smirk widened. "Well, you can undo the spell cast on them for starters."
Adeline narrowed her eyes. That was obvious. The problem was how.
Edward continued, his tone light, almost amused. "But I am not capable of that, and even if I were, I wouldn't waste my time helping those men in any way or form."
Adeline felt a surge of anger. She looked at him with pure disgust.
She clenched her fists. "Of course you wouldn't."
