The wedding was beautiful. The laughter, the music, the warmth of family and friends—all of it filled the evening air with an undeniable sense of joy. But now, with the ceremony over and the newlyweds at the centre of attention, Adeline found a moment of peace.
She stepped away from the crowd, wandering toward the quieter part of the garden. The lanterns still flickered above, casting golden light on the trimmed hedges and flower beds. The cool breeze was especially calming.

She closed her eyes, savouring the stillness. Away from the excited chatter and endless congratulations, she could finally breathe.
