Maddening Thoughts

Her irritation flared as she felt the heat in her cheeks from his intense gaze, his voice, his scent. She clenched her jaw, determined not to let him see her flustered.

"I'm not here to entertain you, Thorndyke," she shot back, her voice steady despite the chaos within her.

His smirk grew wicked, his eyes glittering with mischief. "But you do, little venom. In more ways than one."

Her heart skipped a beat at his words, betraying her with its silent agreement.

She clenched her fists, fighting against the warmth that was slowly spreading through her, trying to keep her focus on her irritation towards him.

"I don't care what you think, Thorndyke," she retorted, her voice a little shakier than she would have liked.

He chuckled softly, his eyes never leaving hers. He leaned even closer, his voice dropping to a seductive whisper.

"Are you sure, hm?"

"Get a room you two," Ty muttered, groaning as he ran a hand through his hair.
