As if being interrogated, Key who was sitting next to Ervan now faced Chan and Ethan.
"So can you tell me from the beginning why Chan and Ethan's faces looked messy and their clothes were also like this, don't you usually wear suits?" Ervan asked Key with his gaze alternating between Key and the two bodyguards in front of him.
The two bodyguards seemed to bow their heads, standing at a steady stance in front of Ervan and Key.
"They suck uncle," Key said casually.
Ervan frowned slightly while looking at Key who seemed relaxed with a smile that could still be seen on Key's face.
Enthusiastically, Ervan asked Key what she had just said.
A grin with her feet stomping on the floor said that neither Chan nor Ethan were good at puzzles.
Suddenly Ervan's eyes rounded perfectly.
Just because of a game Chan and Ethan got messed up like this?
How unexpected!
"So...-sorry Mr.Galen, if I may know how old Miss Key is?" asked Ethan hesitantly looking at Ervan with a pleading look.
Ervan reflexively turned his head towards Key giving the girl the code to answer for herself in front of Chan and Ethan.
"Mmm, why are you asking Uncle now, Uncle Chan and Uncle Ethan should have just asked me directly, I'm still young uncle, is my face not baby face enough?" said Key confidently with a counter question instead of a direct answer.
"That's exactly it, miss, that's why we just wanted to confirm whether it's what we thought or not," Chan said quickly.
Key chuckled softly, while Ervan just shook his head slowly. He couldn't believe that the bodyguard he had hired to look after Key had been outsmarted by the girl, even looking battered, not battered because of fists or other physical injuries, but battered in a battle of wits, that's what Ervan could deduce so far.
"I'm only seventeen years old. I just had my birthday a fortnight ago," Key said cheerfully.
Instantly both Ethan, and Chan were stunned, not knowing that Key was younger than he thought.
Didn't Ervan tell them that the one they were guarding was a university student, so why was this only seventeen years old?
It was a good thing Ethan and Chan didn't know that Key was a final-year student. They would have gaped even more if they knew Key's age with her education level which was too early for a girl of her age.
"You're so young miss, but why are you giving us such difficult questions?"
This time it was Ethan who complained to Key. Truly Ethan was not very intelligent when it came to maximising his brain, but when it came to physicality, then Ethan was arguably superior, as he had validity in any martial art.
Ervan, who increasingly realised what Ethan was saying to Key, laughed out loud.
"That's why you should start learning again, don't just use your physical strength all the time, and you Chan teach Ethan if he doesn't understand."
"Tsk, Uncle Chan sucks too... uncle~," Key said as she folded her arms across her chest, not accepting the conclusion Ervan had made earlier.
As Ervan recalled, Chan was a well-balanced young man, both in terms of martial arts, as well as intelligence, although not as proficient as Ethan in all areas of martial arts.
Chan who heard Key's ramblings nodded his head, acknowledging that what Key said was true, while rubbing his non-itchy nape.
Ervan who only saw the interaction between Key and his two bodyguards could only narrow his eyes in confusion, he thought he was right.
But it seems Ervan was wrong this time!
"Excuse me miss, I would like to ask again, if I may know, what is your IQ?" asked Chan still curious about Key who he thought was very smart, in fact, Chan was quite impressed with Key.
"Take it easy, my IQ is still below Albert Einstein," Key said casually while waving her hand.
Ethan and Chan looked at each other. For a moment he didn't know what Albert Einstein's IQ was, all they knew was that Einstein was a genius.
Ervan, who knew the IQ Key was referring to, immediately told the two that the IQ in question was 160.
Both of them gulped their saliva roughly.
"Then?" asked Ethan with curiosity.
"156."
Almost at the same time all three of them. Yes, including Ervan tapped his forehead lightly, while Key who saw the reaction that was only a fraction of a second different immediately gaped at her, and blinked lightly.
"What's wrong with you? Did Key say something wrong?" asked Key with a look full of confusion.
Key was indeed very intelligent, it was just that her innocent behaviour like a child still dominated her, for that reason sometimes there were some things that Key did not understand.
"Never mind," said Ervan, finally making the decision to end the endless chatter.
Key let out her breath, and nodded her head slowly.
'It seems like your fear on the phone has started to fade from your mind, I guess you remember it when you're depressed, or when you're alone and have nothing to do,' Ervan thought to himself.
Afterwards, the two bodyguards asked Ervan for permission to guard outside, and to give Ervan and Key some freedom.
Ervan of course said yes, and thanked the two with a silent mouth gesture.
The two of them nodded their heads softly, and stepped their feet out away from Ervan and Key.
"Key... are you okay?" asked Ervan suddenly to confirm the thing he wanted to say that was more precisely stuck in his heart.
Key's eyes immediately turned to look at Ervan a little seriously, as if Key was really trying to find out whether Ervan was really asking about her condition or just asking without any intention.
Key didn't say a word for quite a while, just looking at Ervan's face.
If according to Key, Ervan really asked with the intention of really wanting to know what really happened to her, then Key opened her voice which began with a long sigh.
It seemed that this time Key was going to say something that Key had previously doubted telling Ervan.
"Before I tell you, you have to promise to keep what I say a secret, right?" asked Key with a look that was much sadder than the cheerfulness she had shown before.
Ervan's smile was perfectly raised, and not forgetting a reassuring head nod with a firm voice that sounded soft said 'Yes' Ervan told Key.
