Reflections in the Darkness

Martin, a philosophy professor deeply rooted in his moral principles, begins to experience disturbing changes in his perception of reality. After receiving an anonymous letter suggesting that his life is an illusion created to protect him from an unbearable truth, Martin embarks on an obsessive quest to uncover the nature of his existence.



As he delves into ancient philosophies and theories on perception, Martin starts to question his fundamental beliefs and his own morality. Strange events, such as the appearance of unknown annotations in his journal and the unsettling behavior of his reflection in the mirror, lead him into a spiral of doubt and paranoia.



As his reality unravels, Martin confronts the terrifying possibility that everything he has known is an illusory construct. The story explores the limits of human perception and challenges the reader to question their own understanding of what is real, leaving the question hanging: To what extent can we trust our beliefs and morality when reality itself is uncertain?
