25. Worth the exaggeration

"You think?" I ask.

"Dearest, what do you think of Marilyn Monroe in glasses?" He asks.

"The woman looks good in everything. She was stunning in glasses."

"Well right now, Marilyn Monroe in glasses can't hold a candle next to you. You look far more breathtaking," He's exaggerating.

"You are exaggerating." I can feel the warmth from his hands getting hotter like it always does anytime his touch lingers on my skin.

I try to turn my head to the side, but his hands on my face are firm and won't allow me the liberty to escape his gaze.

"I am not." He says, "and even if I am, it is only because you are worth every exaggeration." He says and when he says something like that while staring at me like that, also while being so close to me, it makes me lose my breath completely.
