137. Side story 1: Alan's admirer (Third person POV)

After Alan announced Duke's presence in the church to Champagne and she ran off leaving the twins and Alan in the children's church to pack up their stuff, Janey could not just take her eyes off the blond man whose name she finally knew now.

"Uh_Uhm, w_will you be taking Champagne's things with you?" She did not know what else to say. She wanted to talk to him but was too shy to. She couldn't even say a complete sentence without stuttering and blushing.

Alan's gaze moved from the twins who were returning their coloring tools back into the right boxes, to the young lady with short rusty brown hair blushing in front of him.

The brown freckles on her cheek matched the shade of her hair. They were an equal proportion on both sides of her face. Just beneath her eyes. Almost like someone took a thin brush and put ten dots of brown ink underneath her eyes… equally.
