Senseless return

When she awoke, Christina was kneeling over someone. She had a katana in her hand, stabbed into the heart of the person in question. Afraid to look at what was really happening, she didn't look at his costume.

"Look at me, Christina."

She recognized her master's voice directly.

"I didn't bring you here to cry over your first murder. That's not very professional. "

Christina looked down and saw her master smiling as usual.

"Listen. I admit the plan was clearly fucked up. But at least you won't be afraid to kill after this. I wish I could have shown you to my son, he would have loved to fight you. Besides, if you ever see him, tell him I was a cab driver."

"No."

"Huh?"

"No. No. No. No. No. No. No. You can't die like this. You're the world's strongest assassin."

"That's true. I let myself get a little carried away. But hey, as long as you and Malvin are happy. I'm cool with that."

"No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No."

"Don't cry. I would have done the same for my son and my wife. Besides, I live a long time for a guy with a sword in his heart."

"No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No."

"Oh...this isn't right...you're crying...I'll tell you a joke...What goes nioc-nioc? ...."

Christina didn't want to hear it, and she didn't hear it. The end of the joke was never heard by anyone. Arthur, Lori and Rachel returned from their mission to see their master lying on the ground under Christina's sword. They ran to the show in tears.

"What the hell are you doing, Christina?"

Arthur had shouted so loudly that the whole agency had heard him. Christina was extricated from her tearful master's corpse by Lori. She looked around for some strength in someone's eyes, but no one responded with compassion. Even Malvin was gone. She ran back to her room while the others tried to revive him. She heard the assassins rejoicing at Ichimaru's death.

"He's dead at last, the old fart. He kept us from doing what we wanted."

"He was really too strong. Serves him right. That'll teach him to stand up to the GIA."

Christina realized something. Ichimaru was the one who maintained a kind of gentleness in the organization. He stopped the orphanage massacres and only killed those he considered bad. In short, without him, the GIA was just a bunch of heartless assassins. She locked herself in her room for several days.

In a remote house, not so far from GIA headquarters. Jin stepped outside to look at the snow.

"Mom, when's Dad coming home?"

"I don't know, son. I don't know."

Jin raised his head and let each flake fall on him.

"When I see him, I'll tell him he's an idiot."

Christina lost her taste for life and Ichimaru's plan worked wonders. She had officially become the strongest assassin. Malvin noticed it too. She'd changed after that fight. He had to go ahead with the plan. One summer day, he grabbed her by the hand. Christina was surprised and looked up. Malvin noticed her dark circles and her impassive face. Still, he had to move on.

"We're leaving."

"What?"

Christina didn't understand. Malvin had been distant with her for a long time and he wanted out.

"Next mission, we disappear and get the hell out."

"But..."

"Don't argue..."

On their next mission, Malvin and Christina were declared missing to the new president of the GIA, who was none other than Mathilde Royal.

"Malvin made a fool of us. Find them and kill them."

"But Madame..."

The messenger's head floated in the air at the second.

"Did we hire you to discuss your president's orders."

The bounty, for both of them, was twenty billion Zvennirs. Ten each. On the other side, Malvin was fleeing with Christina. They had arrived at a house Malvin had taken just for the occasion. A house in the Empire of Zvenne. Normally, this would have been enough to keep anyone from fighting in it. But that couldn't stop the GIA, who were intent on killing them.

"And here we are. What do you think?"

Malvin looked at the house with pride. His eyes sparkled slightly. Christina looked at the man who had loved her as a child, then ignored her for years before returning to take her away from the place that made her suffer as if he loved her again. She stepped toward him.

"Christina?"

The slap went away on its own.

"You could have told me. You could have told me it was all fake. I thought you didn't love me anymore. Worse, I thought you hated me for my weakness. That's why I went to the master and that's why..."

She couldn't help crying. Malvin put a hand to her head.

"Christina. If I'd told you, they'd have spotted it right away and killed us. These people are professionals. You're the one who taught me how to act. I didn't know it was all going to end like this with the master."

At these words, she threw herself into his arms and Malvin squeezed her, as hard as he could, without hurting her.

"Come on. We're going to be late for lunch."

Christina smiled and they walked hand in hand into their new life. Unfortunately, it only took a while for the GIA assassins to find them. They sent a hundred assassins a month later.

"I think we have a visitor, Christina."

"You're calling me by my first name again."

"And what do you want me to call you, then?"

"Why not, darling."

"Come on. Go for darling."

Thirty minutes later, not a single assassin was left alive. One thing was certain, they had no trouble killing anymore.

"Shall we go, darling?"

"No."

"Huh?"

"We're going to destroy the IGA."

"Excuse me? Wait, Christina."

Christina was already off to kill those who'd educated her, fed her and also those who'd made her life so pitiful.

"I'll be right there. Mathilde Royal."
