Chapter three: Unveil

"I thought you'll be crying or something" Benita said as she got into the house seeing Zora sitting on the dinning table focused on her laptop

"I thought you knew me better than that" Zora replied without even raising her head

"How're you feeling though?"

"Never been better"

"What are you up to Zora, this one you're quiet and so focused?"

Zora laughed out as she finally raised her head up to look at her best friend

"So you think I'm plotting something evil or so" she burst into laughter again

"Girl I've got pending jobs I need to complete today and that's the only thing on my mind right now, Alfred is not worth my time, why would I sit down and be busy plotting evil when I've got important things to do?" She said as she adjusted her glasses and focused on the laptop again

"You look crazy to me" Benita said as she shook her head

"What's in the kitchen though? I'm hungry"

"Oh wow, I didn't know you hired a house help to help you cook in this house"

"You really don't know how to treat a guest right Zora"

Zora laughed again

"Who's the guest? You? You're not hungry yet if you are you'll find your way to the kitchen"

"I need a new best friend guys, Zora is maltreating me"

Benita faked crying and they both fell into laughter

"Grow up Benny, grow up"

"Grow up? Definitely not, being matured is boring"

"Actually"

"Oh my goodness" Benita complained as her stomach made noises

"If i sit here I'll just die of hunger in this house" she immediately stood up and head to the kitchen

"Oh, so you actually have legs? You would have spent a thousand years waiting for me to bring food for you"

"You're not a good person Zora"

"Oh I know, that's why Alfred left" and they were both just laughing throughout the whole conversation

"Stopppp"

"That's his business though, please make food for two, I love you"

"Oh really, so you were actually hungry?"

"It's not what you think Benny"

"You're so lazy Zora"

And Zora burst into another laughter

"Coming from the laziest person I know"

"You still love me that way, so, who cares?"

"Quit playing man, I hate you"

"I love you too, I'll be in the kitchen"

"Go away Benny you're such a distraction"

Once again the environment was quiet and Zora was lost in thoughts again

"I've just got to be better for myself, what is meant to be will be" She consoled herself and continued working.

Few minutes later Benita came out of the kitchen.

"Paparaaaa, the chef is here, unveiling greatness, the best of meal you'll ever have in your life"

"Oh my goodness, now I'm scared, your meal Benny, greatness?" She laughed

"Do not underestimate the power of a common man and do not judge a book by its cover"

"All these quotes for this meal Benny is my life at stake?"

"Maybe, who knows?"

"You're just crazy"

"You might want to write your will before you eat the food though, and make me your next of kin"

"Even a spoon my next of kin is not going to see, what do I have?" They both laughed out loud

"That was actually sarcasm Zora, i know you don't have anything"

"I hate you, the food actually has a nice aroma though, I hope the scent suits the taste"

"You have no idea girl, take a break from work ma'am, food is ready"

"Yes boss" Zora adjusted her laptop and sat properly to eat

"Are your friends still coming over?"

"Definitely, it's not yet time"

"Is it this thing you want to serve them when they get here?" Zora asked as she looked away from Benita

Benita on the other hand was staring at Zora who was avoiding those eyes

"I'll soon break a plate on your head just know" Benita said and Zora couldn't hold the laughter in anymore

"Taste the food already"

"Oh my bad, sure, sure" Zora took a bite and changed her face and acted like she was going to throw up

"What is it? You don't like it"
