••• Maximillian’s POV •••

I came out of the bathroom after showering to find my mate on the phone with a frown on her beautiful face.

Tossing my towel aside, I slipped under the blanket and smoothed the lines between her brows with my index finger.

She smiled at me before replying to the person on the other side of the receiver, “Alright, I’ll tell him.”

“Something wrong?” I asked once she hung up the call.

“That was Rosa,” she said. “She reported that they know where Dagon is hiding, but the place is so secretive that it required both brute force and magic to get in.”

“I guess so...” my mate replied and sighed. “She also said there is a possibility that Dagon has other help, and Rosa and Paviar have asked for your support.”

“We know werewolves will be involved,” I told her. “This war is inevitable.”

“I know,” my mate sighed again.
