Shortly after Mr. Moore went upstairs, Oliver came downstairs.
Alicia was reading a magazine on the sofa. Hearing that sound, she rose promptly and said, “Hey mom.”
“Oh, you scared me!” Oliver gasped and complained.
Seeing that there is nothing in her mother’s hand. Alicia felt frightened.
Mr. Moore showed the revised will to Martin in the study and asked, “if you think it’s okay, just sign here.”
“Okay, I don’t see any problem.”
“Good. Then I will have your daughter sign it later.”
Martin looked aside at the bowl and said, “No, not now. You can just let her sign it this weekend.”
“Okay.”
After Mr. Moore left, Martin lifted the small bowl in his hand. There was a chicken soup and maybe some other stuff in the bowl. Martin smiled bitterly to himself and then drank all of the soup in one gulp.
