Trevor grew irritated when Zayden said what he was thinking. He said, “What’s wrong? You don’t think it’s not going to work? I am sure Maggie will be fine.”
Zayden said firmly, “Oh, no, you are such a naive fool. I think that since you become married later, your parents will thoroughly check her background. If they knew that she had such a serious condition and you are concealing it from them, they would never give you their blessings.”
Zayden had met Trevor’s parents when he was a child. They were nice parents who allowed Trevor to do whatever he wanted as an adult. They didn’t like being duped, though. So, if they later find out that Trevor kept such an important secret from them, they would despise Maggie.
“You know, if that happens, your parents will hate Maggie.”
