Alice was surprised by Zayden’s attitude because she was honest about everything and wanted to have a peaceful conversation with him. Clenching her fists, Alice snarled, “Zayden don’t be such a jerk. I apologize for not telling you this truth sooner, and I was wrong. How much longer will you whine about it? I’m not going to hurt my child. I don’t think my request is unreasonable.”
“He is your child, and you are not being unreasonable. But I believe Lewis has discussed my demands with you before we sign the contract. All I want is the child, and I want the child’s mother to stay away from this city for the rest of her life.”
Alice shouted, “So I said I would leave. I’m just negotiating with you now.”
“There is nothing we need to discuss.”
