Chapter 37 : Of Unseen Bondage

Cynthia POV.

‘Will you come to the stadium to watch me play tomorrow? It’s the semi-final.’

The day of reckoning I had been so worried about was gone the day the tournament opened. In the opening match where Sinacore demolished his opponent in straight sets and became the crowd favorite overnight. Since then, he had been on an unstoppable spree. A winning spree.

And it would all culminate in the most decisive match of his career tomorrow. The semi-final clash with Carlos Anderson. The ‘clash of the titans’ as hyped by the media. But I had another name for it.

Judgment Day.

A defeat in this match would prove his detractors and critics right. An emphatic win would shut them up forever. Team Sinacore was reeling in tension and nervous anxiety. Brad, coach, and every member of the team was seen huddling and brainstorming at all times.

Except The Falcon himself.
