Two hours later, Ali was standing on the grass of his back garden in his Sith coat and black pants. He was wearing his newly acquired gold and black mask that covered his face, with two small slits for his eyes.
Ali looked down at his hand, where the gold ring with a small blue sapphire sat. But then, the ring suddenly disappeared, turning into blue lights that shimmered in the air before fading.
Ali wasn't worried. Instead, a smile formed beneath his mask.
'He accepted…'
[Teleportation in …1]
'The conditions are now set. A duel between me and the French boy. He gets the ring if he wins, and if I win…'
Before Ali could finish his thought, the world around him turned white, swallowing everything.
Ali opened his eyes to find himself inside a dimly lit warehouse. The thick scent of blood and rot invaded his senses instantly. The first thing he saw was shattered wooden crates, their splintered remains scattered across the cold concrete floor, soaked in crimson. The blood was fresh—thick pools of it glistened under the faint light filtering through broken skylights above.
But that wasn't what caught his attention.
GRRRRRRRRR
Ali instinctively leapt into the air, soaring ten meters high with a single jump, his sharp senses screaming of danger. As he ascended, he caught sight of a grotesque, mutated rat standing beneath him.
The creature was massive, nearly the size of three bulls, with thick, sinewy muscles covered in patches of glowing brown fur that pulsed faintly, almost like molten metal flowed beneath its skin. Its beady black eyes gleamed with a sinister intelligence, and its long, whip-like tail was tipped with two jagged metal spikes—razor-sharp and stained with blood.
The ground where Ali had stood just moments ago now had a deep crater, shattered by the force of the rat's tail strike.
'What is that thing? And why is it glowing?'
Ali's thoughts raced as he adjusted his descent.
Then, something even stranger happened.
"Where are you?"
Ali's eyes narrowed.
The rat had spoken.
Its voice was horrific—distorted, broken, like a corpse with a decayed throat forcing out words it was never meant to say. The sound sent an eerie chill through the bloodstained air.
Its jagged metal tail twitched behind it, still wet with the human blood of the corpses scattered around the warehouse.
Ali twisted midair and propelled himself downward with the Force, accelerating his descent before driving his knee straight into the rat's back.
BOOOOOM
A thunderous impact echoed through the warehouse.
But something was wrong.
Ali's knee landed cleanly—but instead of feeling bones shatter, instead of breaking through muscle and tissue, it felt like he had struck a dense sponge.
The rat didn't even flinch.
Ali pushed off and landed a few feet away, his expression hidden behind his mask, but his eyes filled with intrigue.
'That did nothing? Just what is this thing?'
The rat tilted its grotesque head, its jagged teeth forming a twisted grin.
Then, it laughed.
A broken, monstrous sound filled the warehouse.
Its metal spikes suddenly shot from its tail like bullets, moving so fast that the air whistled as they tore through it.
Ali leaned back just in time—the spikes passed mere inches above his face, slamming into the wooden crates behind him and continuing forward until they embedded deep into the concrete wall, stabbing over a meter in.
Ali turned to look at the smoking holes in the concrete.
Then, he turned back to the rat.
"Human, are you scared? Are you frightened? Are you? Are you? Are you?"
Its voice was now a manic, erratic chant, filled with glee and madness.
Ali remained unfazed.
"Nah, I'm not scared of you.."
Ali took a slow step back, his voice eerily calm.
"But you should be…"
The rat let out a choking, guttural laugh, its jagged tail twitching eagerly.
"Me? Scared? Of who? AHAHAHAHAHA—"
Ali pointed behind him without looking back.
"He's pretty hungry."
ZZZZZZZZZZ
The air behind Ali rippled violently.
Then, with a low growl, a massive nine-meter-wide black gate ripped open behind him.
From within the pitch-black void, a monstrous dragon head emerged—massive, obsidian scales gleaming like polished onyx. Its maw was lined with rows upon rows of jagged teeth, each the size of a longsword.
This wasn't just any dragon.
It was the largest dragon head Ali had ever summoned.
Its enormous tongue slithered out, revealing fresh rows of jagged fangs forming as it drooled thick, black saliva onto the floor.
The rat screeched in terror, its body convulsing as it tried to turn and flee.
It even launched its metal spikes at the dragon, the deadly projectiles stabbing deep into the beast's tongue.
But it didn't matter.
The dragon's eyes burned with primal hunger.
CRUNCH
The beast's jaws snapped shut around the rat, engulfing it entirely.
A sickening squelch echoed through the warehouse as rows of massive fangs tore through the rat's glowing flesh.
The rodent thrashed desperately inside the dragon's mouth, its claws raking against the monster's fangs, but its struggle only caused more teeth to erupt from the dragon's gums.
With a deep, monstrous growl, the dragon began chewing.
Every bite sent thick splashes of purple blood spewing across the warehouse, painting the already crimson-stained floor with a sickly violet hue.
The rat's agonised screeches grew weaker with each crunch—until they stopped altogether.
Ali grimaced beneath his mask as the stench of the rat's remains mixed with the dragon's foul breath, filling the air with an unbearable, rotten odour.
'Good thing he doesn't care for pain…'
Ali walked toward the beast, covering his nose with one hand.
The dragon obediently opened its mouth, revealing its monstrous teeth still drenched in purple blood.
Two long metal spikes remained lodged deep in its thick tongue, drawing out thick, black blood.
Ali stepped onto the beast's tongue, grabbing the spikes firmly before yanking them out.
The dragon growled lowly but obeyed, its hunger sated for now.
Once the second spike was removed, Ali turned toward the warehouse's large metal entrance, sensing two presences approaching.
His dragon dissolved into the darkness, vanishing into the void.
Ali suppressed his presence entirely, slowing his heartbeat to the bare minimum, vanishing like a ghost into the shadows.
BANG—
The metal doors slammed open as two figures entered.
They wore white plastic masks and stood at five foot eight and five foot nine respectively.
Ali's eyes shifted to his interface as an alert appeared.
