Chapter Five

The blue flames brightened, illuminating a passageway that Vinicus hadn't noticed before. The walls of the passage were adorned with more glowing symbols, their light pulsating gently as if welcoming him.

Vinicus began walking towards the passage, this was supposed to be his home so there was nothing to fear…

"The first step you must take is to attune yourself to the energy of the Sanctum. The Healing System may be in you and around you but it is also deeply connected to the earth, the flow of life itself. To harness your full power, you must strengthen your aura and align your chakra points." 

"I don't even know what my aura is…. How do I know what my chakra points are and how to align them?" Vinicus furrowed his brows. 

"Through this passageway, you will find a meditation chamber, and you will find a pool with magical energy. It will help you attune your aura to the energy of the Healing System. This is the foundation that your future learning will depend on" 

Vinicus followed the passageway with a feeling of determination, looking behind him at the cavernous room fading in the distance. Now what was left was more stone walls and more symbols. He lightly grazed his finger over one and felt a gush of energy, the symbol glowed even brighter. 

As he walked, the temperature of the air began to change, growing warmer and more humid. He could feel the energy from the Sanctum thrumming beneath his feet. This place was truly made of pure magic, it was a beautiful thing to experience…. Who would have thought that something good would come off this day… 

"Remember Vinicius, this journey will not be easy. You will face a lot of challenges, it will be hard learning but if you commit yourself fully to this path. You will become one of the most powerful healers the world has ever known"

The sound of the words that the Guide spoke made Vinicus walk even faster. He was almost giddy with excitement, as he turned a corner. He entered the most beautiful room he had ever seen in his life. 

In the center of the room, there was a pool of shimmering gold liquid, which shone with an almost otherworldly glow that seemed to come from inside the pool. The room was not dimly lit but was bright like daytime but he could not see a window…. It felt like an ethereal light. 

The air was filled with the scent of different herbs but it wasn't uncomfortable but rather made him feel full of life and at peace. He walked closer and closer to the pool, he could feel the power emanating from the pool. 

"Can I enter the pool? Or is that bad?" Vinicus asked. 

"Nothing here can hurt you, this is your sanctum and your safe space. Everything within these walls are to make you a better version of yourself" 

"So if I swim in the pool, my chakra points will align?" 

"No. It's not as simple as that. Let me explain, Chakra points are the centers of energy within your body," the guide continued. 

"There are seven main chakra points, each corresponding to different aspects of your being. To become a true Grand Master, you must learn to balance and enhance your aura and chakra points. This will increase your ability to channel and control the healing magic."

"What aspects of my being?" Vinicus asked.

"Your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being are all connected to your chakra. Your aura can be harnessed if you can see it. This is if you go through meditation and visualization. You will understand things quicker and will be better than you were before. I will teach you the techniques." 

"You already have a mildly strong aura, which is why you were able to hurt those men after unlocking the system" Vinicus stood shocked. 

"Wait, I hurt those bodyguards? How? I thought you did that?" he asked the guide, staring at his hands. 

"Your hands didn't do it, your aura did. Your aura in the universe is strong and so when you had the thought to make sure they never hurt anyone again. It began to hurt them in response but your heart was clean so it stopped. You now possess great power and must use it well…" 

"So…. I can't only heal people, I can hurt them too…" 

"You can't kill anyone not deserving…. People earn bad aura from doing bad things and your aura is good so it battles the bad when you want it to." 

"Wow. Okay so now I have to meditate to be able to learn right?" Vinicus asked. 

"You may begin learning but you must meditate here in order for the system to help you even more,"the guide replied. 

A big book suddenly appeared in front of him and a table metamorphosed from the earth made of leaves and shrubs, a chair followed it looked like it was made from roots and strong wood. The book floated in the air landing on the table, and it's pages flipped open.

Vinicus walked to the table, he sat down and looked at the book. It was not the one he had touched at the ruin…

"What book is this? " 

"This is a book of symbols. It is to teach you the different symbols. The book you touched the first time was simply the physical representation of the System. The system can be physically represented by anything the Grand Master Healer chooses, a pendant, a staff, a book, anything you prefer" 

"So are there other books? Other books to learn from?" Vinicus asked. 

"Yes there are, there are books for herbs, incantations and symbols but not to worry. You will understand them all as I will put them in a language you understand…" 

Suddenly the book translated the words, in a language he was familiar with. Now he understood what was written in it.

"Thank you Guide," Vinicus said. "By the way, I want my system to be represented by a pendant…" A beautiful blue and green stone pendant with a symbol flew in magically and swayed in the air in front of Vinicus. He took it and wore it over his head, as soon as the pendant touched his chest. He felt as though his heart and the pendant began to beat as one…..

"What was that?" Vinicus asked, feeling a tinge of worry. 

"The first step of your attunement to the system..."
