Chapter 232 : Deidara!!

"The person went in this direction!"

Pakkun sniffed the ground, moving forward on all fours, his tone serious.

After moving for a while and looking in the direction away from Konoha, there was a weight in Pakkun's eyes.

He still held a bit of resentment towards the one who killed his own kin, but it quickly faded. As summoned beasts, once they made a contract with ninjas, they had to accept this.

In battle, there would always be death.

However, death among summoned beasts was rare. After all, they could break the summoning contract.

What shocked Pakkun was that someone had managed to kill one of his kin before they had the chance to cancel the summoning!

"Has he really left Konoha? Genya, what do you want to do?"

Kakashi murmured to himself as he looked in the direction his ninja dog had pointed to, quietly contemplating.

"Has Senju Hayashi gone to carry out another mission?"

His eyes sparkled with deep thoughts.

Ever since learning of Senju Hayashi's terrifying power, Kakashi had paid more attention to Genya. For someone like Hayashi to follow a young child so loyally, it was clear… Genya's influence was remarkable.

Especially in their conversations, Kakashi had already realized that Genya's intelligence was extraordinary.

"Kakashi, should we follow him?"

Pakkun asked again, with both curiosity and a hint of inquiry in his voice. If Kakashi decided to pursue, Pakkun would lead the way.

"Not for now. My mission was to find them, and it's done now!"

Kakashi shook his head, speaking seriously.

"Next, I need to report back."

"Since that's the case, my mission is complete too. I'll take my kin's body back to the clan!"

Pakkun said no more, leaping onto the vine block that Kakashi had summoned earlier.

"Goodbye!"

Parker's voice faded, turning into a puff of smoke and disappearing!

Even the vine platform he was sitting on vanished along with it.

"Genya... how many things are you hiding? I never expected there to be another wood-style ninja!" Kakashi's gaze returned to the vine wall, his eyes filled with a puzzled light.

"If a wood-style ninja were to appear, it would cause a huge uproar in the ninja world. Let's bury this news for now!"

He murmured softly.

Kakashi quickly formed hand seals, his tone calm as he spoke: "Earth Style: Earth Flow River!"

As soon as the words left his mouth,

A river-like swamp appeared on the ground, flowing across the surface.

The earthen wall that had been raised... no, now it was a wall woven from vines, slowly sinking under the swamp's engulfing force, until it disappeared into the earth.

"Genya, for Obito's sake, I'll help you keep this a secret. The appearance of a wood-style ninja can't be leaked!" Kakashi looked down at the ground, his expression gradually returning to calm.

He began heading back to Konoha.

Konoha Office.

"How's the investigation going?" Sarutobi Hiruzen asked calmly, puffing on his pipe.

Actually,

Since Kakashi returned, he had already guessed the outcome.

"The few from the Rat team are probably dead, though no bodies were found. They might have been cremated by the killer," Kakashi lowered his head, speaking calmly about what had happened, and the fate of those individuals.

He didn't mention how they had died, nor did he reveal the fact that Senju Hayashi had possessed the wood-style technique.

"I see..." Sarutobi Hiruzen narrowed his eyes, muttering softly: "Has that assassin made a move again? Damn it."

At this moment, what Sarutobi Hiruzen was thinking was that the black-robed assassin hired by the Uchiha had gone into action again, eliminating the people he had sent out.

Meanwhile,

A sense of caution rose in his heart. It seemed that for the time being, he couldn't take action against the Uchiha clan. He didn't know when he would encounter that assassin again.

"What assassin?" Kakashi asked, startled, and couldn't help but follow up with a question.

Somehow, he had a feeling he knew what this was about. Could it be that Konoha's assassin?

During the night of the Uchiha massacre, Kakashi hadn't participated, so he was naturally unaware of the agreement made between Genya, who had disguised himself as the black-clad assassin, and Sarutobi Hiruzen. He couldn't make another move against the Uchiha clan!

"It's nothing!" Sarutobi Hiruzen shook his head, then his expression cleared up. "I know what's going on. You can leave now."

After saying this, Sarutobi Hiruzen waved his hand, signaling Kakashi to leave.

Kakashi didn't ask any more questions. He quietly exited, though there was a glimmer in his eyes. It seemed like it was time to find a moment to ask Genya for more details.

The Wood Style and that assassin situation—Genya should know something about them.

As he thought,

Kakashi's figure vanished outside the Hokage's office, continuing with his mission.

Uchiha Merchant Association.

"Father, are we transporting goods to Iwagakure in the Land of Earth this time?" Genya, listening to the task his father was assigning, suddenly became interested.

"Huh? You want to go to Iwagakure?" Uchiha Kinya, seeing his son's question, had already guessed what he was thinking.

His son wanted to go to Iwagakure; otherwise, Genya wouldn't have brought up the topic.

"Yeah, I want to go there for a visit!" Genya nodded, his eyes flickering with a hint of excitement. In fact, he had wanted to go to Iwagakure for a long time, but never found the opportunity.

Now that the massacre issue had been resolved and the Uchiha clan would be absolutely safe for the next few years, he wanted to focus on doing things he had been wanting to do!

For example, learning Dust Release from Onoki. He always believed that if Dust Release was fully developed, it would be incredibly powerful, and it was the perfect opportunity to study it.

Of course, there was another reason he wanted to go to Iwagakure—Deidara!

Explosion is Art!

To be honest, he prefers this boy who is obsessed with explosions. Wait... that person should be three years older than him, but his talent is already impressive.

{I found out that Deidara was only 19 when he died, and Sasuke was 16 at that time.}

At such a young age, Deidara could capture a tailed beast alone. If it weren't for the supposed lightning element restraining him, Sasuke might have died in his battle with Deidara.

If he could, he would want to have a conversation with Deidara, maybe even join the Atsukara.

{I really like the character of Deidara. I feel his potential is high too; it just depends on how it's developed. He's also quite straightforward, and when he self-destructs, he makes sure to let Hidan escape first. Even after being reincarnated, the first thing he asks is about Hidan. I really like this character!}

Right now, Deidara's biggest fear is genjutsu and lightning chakra!

Uchiha Itachi should still not have found Deidara. This is his chance.

"Go to the Land of Earth? Genya, you better think this through. The Tsuchikage doesn't have a good relationship with our Uchiha clan. Even when I deliver goods, I have to have the Uchiha clan wait outside the Land of Earth!"

Hearing Genya's firm reply, Uchiha Kinya added another line.

The Land of Earth.
