"Shisui, you're here?"
Genya looked over at Shisui, who had appeared out of nowhere, a bit surprised in his eyes.
Shisui actually came out.
Looks like his eyes have recovered. Otherwise, knowing him, he wouldn't have left the underground lab.
"It was getting stuffy down there, so I thought I'd come out for a walk," Shisui replied calmly, though as he spoke, his eyes scanned Genya's office.
It had been a long time since he'd seen the outside world.
"Your eyes?" Genya asked again, testing the waters. He wanted to confirm how well Shisui's eyes had recovered.
A few days ago, Hikari had told him about Shisui's condition. After fusing with Uzumaki cells, there was a chance for a perfect match—possibly even a perfect fusion with his eyes.
"No problem anymore. On my way here, I used genjutsu. I walked down the street and no one even noticed me," Shisui said, a hint of nostalgia in his eyes.
He'd come out of the lab with his face partly covered, but also cast a genjutsu on himself.
The goal was to test his current strength.
And sure enough—
With the genjutsu cloaking him, he walked all the way from the hospital to the Police Force and no one paid him any attention.
Even if someone did glance at him, they just found it odd and moved on.
But once he got close to the Police Force, where there were Jonin around, he used Body Flicker to instantly appear in Genya's office.
After that little test, Shisui knew—his eye power was even stronger than before he lost his eyes. And this time, he didn't have to worry about going blind from overuse.
So this... is the true power of the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan?
Shisui now had a better understanding of his own strength.
"Good." Genya nodded, finally looking at Shisui seriously. "Shisui, do you still remember the promise you made before?"
"The promise? You mean joining the organization you were forming?" Uchiha Shisui looked at Genya, whose expression had turned serious. His own eyes grew serious too.
"Yes. You agreed back then, but I want to ask you again now." Genya stared into Shisui's eyes, his tone firm and sincere.
"I'm giving you a chance to back out. If you don't want to join Atsukara, I won't stop you. You're free to leave. But… as a member of the Uchiha clan, I hope that if your clan is ever in danger, you'll step in to help."
"But if you do choose to join Atsukara, betrayal is not allowed. If you ever do anything to harm the organization, I'll hunt you down across the entire ninja world."
Once again, Genya was giving Shisui a choice.
He was worried that Shisui, with his innocent nature, might still put Konoha first.
But once someone joins Atsukara, the organization comes before anything else.
To Genya, Atsukara came first. The Uchiha clan was second.
"I'll join the Atsukara organization," Uchiha Shisui answered without hesitation. He had thought about this long and hard back in the underground lab. He had already made up his mind.
Shisui had one strength—once he made a decision, he never went back on it.
"In that case… from today on, you're officially a member of Atsukara." Genya nodded and pulled out a slightly cute tiger mask from a drawer.
"Put this on. From now on, you'll be known as Phantom Tiger of Atsukara."
"Atsukara… Phantom Tiger." Shisui muttered as he took the mask and placed it on his face. "From now on… there is no more Shisui. Only Phantom Tiger."
When he jumped off that cliff, Shisui had already died.
Now, he was Phantom Tiger—someone completely new.
"I'll arrange some missions for you soon. But for now…" Genya paused, deep in thought. He seemed to be planning something.
"For now, stay with me for a while. But you can't show yourself in front of anyone from Konoha who knows you."
Genya believed that Shisui's old way of thinking was flawed. He wanted Shisui to spend some time with him—to develop his own perspective, and at the very least… not be so naïve anymore.
"People who truly know me… are probably just Danzo and Hiruzen Sarutobi," Uchiha Shisui said calmly, though his eyes were devoid of emotion. He gave a faint, cold laugh.
"They probably think I'm already dead."
"Maybe," Genya nodded slightly, not saying much. "Just be careful."
And with that, Shisui stayed close to the pillar—but he didn't leave the office.
"Genya-kun, someone from our Uchiha Ninja Academy just reached jōnin level. How should we handle it?" Uchiha Shin walked in, but when he saw Shisui in a mask standing nearby, he paused in surprise.
Following behind Shin was a girl Genya recognized—Uchiha Izumi.
It hadn't been long, but Izumi had already reached the top-tier of the jōnin class. And clearly, she wasn't just any ordinary jōnin. If she were, Shin wouldn't have brought her to Genya himself.
The fact that he brought Izumi here meant she still had a lot of potential to grow.
Genya carefully looked over Izumi. Back when Itachi had brought Obito and members of Root to attack the clan, she had stood firmly by the clan, fighting to the bitter end, soaked in blood.
As she stepped into the room, Izumi looked around. When she saw Genya and the tiger-mask man standing behind him, she was briefly stunned.
The man behind Genya looked familiar… but she couldn't quite remember who he was.
After glancing around the room, Izumi finally stepped forward and bowed respectfully. "Genya-kun."
"You've done well," Genya nodded at her. "From now on, you'll be part of our Police Force. Follow Uncle Shin on missions—he'll help guide you through things."
"Genya-kun… about the enhancement serum?" Shin asked cautiously. He genuinely liked this girl—her talent and character were both outstanding.
He had come here to ask Genya for a chance to help Izumi grow stronger. Youth was the best time for growth, and he didn't want her to waste it.
In the future, Izumi would be a pillar of the Uchiha clan.
"When the Uchiha clan was in crisis, Izumi fought bravely, shedding blood without backing down. She deserves recognition!" Genya didn't hide his thoughts and looked directly at Uchiha Shin, saying, "Uncle Shin, you can bring this matter directly to Hikari."
Uchiha Izumi looked at Genya curiously, a faint light flickering in her eyes.
She had always thought Genya was just an ordinary kid, relying on Uchiha Kinya. But to her surprise, he remembered the events of the clan extermination night so clearly.
Even her respected Uncle Shin seemed to hold Genya in high regard.
"Then I'll thank Genya-kun on Izumi's behalf," Uchiha Shin nodded. He glanced at Shisui, who stood nearby wearing a tiger-mask, then turned to lead Izumi out of the room.
