The soft glow of dawn seeped through the curtains as Noah's phone buzzed on his nightstand. Still half-asleep, he reached for it, unlocking the screen to reveal a message from Adam.
"Morning, Noah. We need you back at the base today. Your team will be training together again, and there's a new addition you'll want to meet—Anderson. I'll explain more when you get here."
Noah smirked, the corners of his lips curling upward as he read the message. Adam might not have gone into detail, but Noah didn't need him to. He had already anticipated this move.
"Good. Everything's falling into place," he murmured under his breath.
With a stretch and a yawn, Noah swung his legs over the side of the bed and rose, his mind already racing ahead to the day's events.
