-In Hunters Association-
"Sir, Mr. Victor, we have an A-rank hunter emerging in our Cobalt City," Ethan reported to the chairman of the Hunter Association branch in Cobalt City. The chairmen of all branches were gathered for a meeting to discuss the rising number of monsters outside the cities where humanity has managed to preserve itself.
The information about the chairman's absence in Cobalt City was kept confidential to avoid causing any disruptions to daily routines.
"He must've been at least A-rank to kill a B-rank monster," Ethan remarked to the chairman.
"The highest-ranked hunter here is only B-rank. Keep an eye on him. We might need him in the near future for the expedition," the chairman instructed Ethan.

I again went to the association to buy some skill books from the Skill Shop."Good afternoon, sir," the shopkeeper greeted me.
The skill books were displayed behind glass, each with a description written beneath them.
"I should choose skills that are compatible with each other," I thought, as a particular strategy formed in my mind.
"Give me a skill book for [Electric Jolt] and [Flame Burst]," I requested from the shopkeeper. The shopkeeper complied, retrieved the skill books, and handed them to me.
"[Electric Jolt] costs $500,000, and [Flame Burst] is priced at $410,000," the shopkeeper informed me as he handed over the books.
I took the skill books and headed back to my apartment, ready to learn and incorporate them into my arsenal.
I took a taxi back to my apartment. I arrived there shortly after, I entered my apartment and jumped onto the bed, ready to finally allocate my stat points.
I picked up each of the three skill books and absorbed them one by one, holding them close to my chest.

"Now it's more like it," I said with satisfaction, observing the descriptions of my newly acquired skills.
"My level is 19, huh? That puts me at the peak of D-rank, but my abnormal 'Mana' and 'Focus' say otherwise. My mana clearly surpasses that of a B-rank, and the force of my [Telekinetic Control] is on par with a peak A-rank," I muttered, glancing at my stats.
"It seems like [Infinite Adaptation] boosts the stats that suffer from excessive strain when I push beyond my limits," I thought, marveling at the exponential rise in both my "Mana" and "Focus." The more I pushed, the more the system compensated for the deficit due to [Infinite Adaptation], granting me incredible growth.
I picked up my phone and opened the app "Hunter's Nexus," a global app used by hunters. It posts news and updates about hunters and is also where hunters check for dungeons to raid.

"All that commotion at the association was for this newly awakened Jacob Laufey, huh? Well, I have nothing to do with him."
I ran a little experiment on my [Infinite Adaptation] in the last dungeon. It seems that increasing my "Strength" and "Agility" isn't entirely dependent on the my unique skill alone. I can raise them, but after every single point increase, it becomes exponentially harder to improve them. As for my previous growth, that was just the tip of the iceberg.
As I was browsing the Hunter's Nexus for my next dungeon raid, my phone suddenly rang. It was a call from the Hunter Association.
"How the hell do they have my number?" I thought, annoyed. I picked up the phone, and a familiar voice greeted me, "Hello, is this Mr. Zephyr?"
"Yes, it's Zephyr," I replied, wondering what this call was about.
"Please come, we have an emergency. A dungeon break of a B-rank dungeon has occurred. Our strongest, A-rank hunter, is currently in a raid in another B-rank dungeon," he said desperately.
"I will come, but I have a request. Please conceal my identity, as I have my own reasons for it," I said to him firmly.
"Okay, sir, we will oblige, but please come to the Raya Tower. The situation is getting out of hand," he said in a hurried tone.
I hurriedly took a taxi to the Raya Tower, which was just 15 minutes from my apartment. As soon as I arrived, Mr. Ethan greeted me. Without wasting any time, I instructed him, "Please have the hunters handle the minions. I'll take care of the boss monster and drag it back to the dungeon."
The scene was chaotic. I saw dozens of hunters struggling against a massive ape-like creature with long, sharp teeth and red horns curving backward from its head. Its tail resembled that of an Ankylosaurus, and with each fiery breath, it scorched the surroundings. The monster's massive fists slammed into the road, leaving deep craters as the hunters tried to fend off its relentless attacks.
I unleashed my [Telekinetic Control] at full throttle, focusing all my power to push the massive ape back toward the dungeon. The force clashed against the creature, causing it to stumble slightly as I strained to redirect its massive body.
