8. System

[[Welcome to the World of the Etherea]]

[[Enter]]

I hesitated for a moment before selecting the option to enter. The screen transitioned smoothly, revealing a new interface that reminded me of a virtual screen from my previous world, like a touchscreen smartphone. But unlike those devices, this screen felt bigger and lifelike—no one else could see it.

"Can you see what I'm looking at?" I asked, glancing at Evan.

He shook his head. "No, Sister. The system's details are private. I can only see the basics if you choose to share them with me."

I nodded and turned my attention back to the screen. Three options were displayed: Status, Inventory, and Shop, though the Shop was marked with a locked sign. I selected Status, and a detailed profile appeared before me.

[[Status]]

Name: Ariana Rain Hart

Race: Human

Element: Fire (Grade D)

Level: 1 (Progress: 0%)

MP: 50

HP: 100

Occupation: None

Skills: Basic Fireball, Basic Fire Needle

Exclusive Title: Blessed Evolver (Hidden)

Exclusive Skill: The Curse of the Dark Phoenix (Basic) (Hidden)

My eyes widened as I scanned the information. My element was the lowest grade, D, and I only had two basic skills. But what really caught my attention was the exclusive title and skill, both marked as hidden. I tried to focus on them, but nothing happened.

"Your magic element is Fire, Grade D," Evan said, reading the concern on my face. "But don't worry, Sister. You can level up your skills and even unlock new ones as you grow stronger. Skills have four grades, from Basic to Advanced, Elite, and Master. And some people are born with special or exclusive skills that others can't see."

I nodded, trying to absorb everything. "And the title? It says 'Blessed Evolver.' What does that mean?"

Evan frowned in thought. "Titles can grant special abilities or bonuses, but if it's hidden, it might be something only you can discover. As for the title... it could be connected to something unique about you. Maybe you're meant to grow beyond your current potential."

I felt a surge of determination. 'Maybe this is my chance to prove myself.' I looked at Evan, who was watching me with a mixture of hope and concern. "I'll do my best, Evan. I won't let this low grade stop me."

Evan's face lit up with encouragement. "That's the spirit! And don't forget, I'll be here to protect you too, once I get my magic element, even if it's a low grade."

I smiled, my heart-warming at his words. "Thank you, Evan."

As we finished our work and made our way to the market, Evan explained more about the world of Etherea. "There are five main races—Humans, Elves, Mermaids, Dwarfs, and Beastmen. Each race has its strengths and weaknesses. And then there are some ancient races that vanished after a grand war."

"And the magic elements?" I asked, intrigued.

"There are five natural elements—Fire, Water, Earth, Air, and Light. They're graded D, B, A, S, and X. Grade X is incredibly rare, almost mythical. No one's seen it for thousands of years."

I processed the pieces of information as we walked further away from our home while enjoying the serene view of the nature of the Etherea.
