Moments Ago…
After Pyris left his mana pool, where he had spent an unknown yet significant amount of time, he made a startling discovery—time within the mana pool flowed differently. The world outside seemed to remain nearly still while he was inside, as if the passage of time paused or slowed to an unmeasurable degree. It was a phenomenon he had never deeply considered before, and he blamed himself for not conducting enough research. That needed to change.
Still, for now, he had other matters to attend to.
After returning from the depths of his own existence, his gaze instinctively fell on Ruin, resting in a corner of the room. The creature looked as docile as ever, nestled in tranquility, yet Pyris knew better. He had recently discovered that Ruin could retreat into his mana pool to recover its energy whenever it had exhausted too much of its strength. A self-regenerating force. A terrifying, unfathomable existence disguised as something harmless.
