Laura
The soft hum of the jet's engines and the faint golden glow of sunlight streaming through the window gently stirred me from my sleep. I stretched lazily, my head still resting on Jake's shoulder as he scrolled through something on his iPad.
"Are we there yet?" I asked, my voice still husky from sleep
Jake turned his head slightly, his lips curling into a soft smile as he kissed my forehead. "Not yet, sweetheart. We've got a couple more hours to go."
I groaned and sat up slightly, rubbing my eyes. "Ugh, this is torture. At least tell me where we're going!"
His grin widened as he shook his head. "No can do. You're just going to have to be patient."
"You're evil, Jake Robbins. Absolutely evil." I pouted, crossing my arms dramatically.
He chuckled, pulling me into his chest. "And yet, you love me. Now, come here and relax. You'll see soon enough."
