Finally back home

Jake

The sun poured gently through the hospital room window, casting a golden glow across Laura's face as she sat upright in bed. She looked so much better today, her skin had more color, and her smile was finally reaching her eyes again. Relief flooded my chest as I realized we'd made it through the scare. Today, we were finally going home.

Dr. Patel walked in shortly after, her ever-calm demeanor filling the room.

"Well, Mr. and Mrs. Robbins," she said warmly, flipping through her tablet, "everything looks great. Laura, you've responded well to rest and medication, and your baby is doing perfectly fine. You're all set to go home."

Laura let out a soft sigh of relief, her hand instinctively resting on her stomach. "Thank you so much, Dr. Patel. You've been so kind through all of this."
