The following morning was surely going to be a good day. They could feel it - both Lily Hales and Emily Martins. The rush of happiness coursing through their veins like and actual connection.
"This time, he's going to come for you," Emily said, her voice promising. She stood behind Lily in front of the dressing mirror, brushing her long black plantinum hair down to her spine.
Lily giggled, her eyes fixated into the mirror as she stared at her own reflection, meanwhile, Emily handled her make-ups, investing her time in selecting the best eye catching gown, elegant heels fitting her small petite legs and jam purse.
Her make-up was done but while she still couldn't resist from staring and admiring her reflection, Emily was busy throwing out lots of clothes from the wardrobe onto the bed.
"What's with all the clothes?" Lily asked, glancing back over her shoulder. Emily paused, catching her breath while placing both hands on her waist like a jug.
"Girl, you're gonna get your boyfriend chasing after you." She winked.
It took 45minutes of selecting and reselecting of which cloth, gown, jeans, T-shirt, blouses, and heals to wear or not to wear.

Emily, her best friend, sat on the bed, watching as Lily slipped into the "Sunrise Tease" dress. The soft peach and coral hues brought out the warm tones in her skin, and the off-the-shoulder design framed her face perfectly.
"Wow, Lil, you look stunning!" Emily exclaimed, eyes widening in admiration. "Killian won't know what hit him!"
Lily giggled, twirling in front of the mirror. The skirt fluttered around her legs, and the sheer tulle layers underneath gave the illusion of weightlessness. She felt like a romantic summer breeze come to life.
"Exactly what I'm counting on," Lily said with a sly smile, adjusting the delicate straps. She added a few loose waves to her hair, letting a few strands escape her ponytail. "I want him to chase me, Emily, I want him to want me."
Emily grinned mischievously. "You're playing with fire, girl. But I've got your back. Now, go get him!"
Lily took a deep breath, feeling the dress shimmer in the morning light. She was ready to make her move. With a confident stride, she headed out the door, leaving Emily to whisper, "Good luck, and may the odds be ever in your favor!"
As Lily left, She fell backwards onto her bed, fixing her gaze up at the ceiling. She heaved a deep sigh. Sitting up, she sprang into the washroom to also get prepared.

Lily pushed open the math classroom door, and a warm ray of sunlight illuminated her entrance. The room fell silent as all eyes turned to her. She stood in the doorway, poised and radiant, her "Sunrise Tease" dress glowing like a soft sunrise.
Killian, seated at his desk, looked up from his notes, his gaze locking onto Lily. His eyes widened, and his jaw slackened, as if time had stopped. The room's attention only amplified the magnetic pull between them.
Lily's smile hinted at secrets as she glided into the room, her skirt fluttering behind her like a cloud. She moved with deliberate grace, her heels clicking softly on the floor.
"Good morning, class," she said, her voice husky and confident, as she made her way to her seat.
The room remained still, mesmerized by her presence. Even Mrs. Johnson, the math teacher, paused, her eyes flicking to Lily before clearing her throat to begin the lesson.
Killian's gaze never wavered, his eyes burning with an intensity that made Lily's heart race. She felt his attention like a physical touch, sending shivers down her spine.
As she sat down, Lily caught Killian's eye, her smile daring him to come closer. The air seemed to vibrate with tension, and she knew she had him right where she wanted him. The game was on.
Killian, sitting at the backseat couldn't resist the intensity that burns in his travel at Lily buy then, guess his eyes had a mind of its own. The more he tried not to look at her, the more he found himself drooling over her. The more he found himself falling for her. It wasn't just him.
Killian, in a span of seconds, glanced around. His observatory interest clawing at the faces of those who had their eyes on her and for no reason, he felt a rush of jealous surging through his very veins.
Max had noticed the connection between. Seeming almost as if they were a broken magnet, the other part pulling close the other because they were meant to be together. He could feel the chemistry forming like a foetus in-between themselves but they just weren't ready to believe it yet.
The bell rang, signalling the end of the class. "Okay everyone, submit your assignments first thing tomorrow morning on my desk." Mrs. Johnson instructed.
While everyone clamored indistinctly amongst themselves, Lily hung her bag on her shoulder. Killian shot the brown-haired tall guy Lily was talking to a deadly glare. If looks could kill then this guy would have had thousands of knife in him.
"You're angry, aren't you?" Max chimed in, looking at the same guy Killian was looking at.
Killian took in the question and digested it. This wasn't the feeling he planned but he couldn't help but ponder on what Lily was doing to him. She had planted something in his heart and it's growing. It's growing with each passing second he saw her, each passing moment he had with her, ever since he had a dance with her.
"Lily? Lily?" she heard Killian call after she had finished talking to the brown-haired tall dude but then, she didn't even show any slightest glimpse of concern. She acted as if he doesn't even exist but then, he was persistent. As she walked right through the door into the bustling hallway, she felt a grasp hold her wrist. His fingers gripping her like a vice.
His hold on her wrist stopped her on her track. Turning around, she slapped him hard on the face. The slap echoed through the hallway causing everyone to gasp.
