228. Tang Xiao San

Before Tang San could step into Dorm 7, Xiao Wu's kick sent him flying.

Just as he was about to hit the ground, Tang San quickly adjusted his stance, landing on all fours.

Apart from the blood in his mouth and the pain in his chin, he managed to avoid serious injury.

However, the intense pain on his tongue forced tears from his eyes.

The sound of light, almost silent footsteps approached rapidly.

Noticing the yellow spirit ring beneath Xiao Wu's feet, Tang San finally realized how big a mistake he had made.

This seemingly innocent young girl was no weaker than him in terms of spirit power!

As Xiao Wu's leg came down, aiming for his head, Tang San swiftly summoned his martial spirit, pulling out a strand of Blue Silver Grass to compensate for his injured and yet-to-recover right arm.

The white spirit ring at his feet lit up, allowing him to barely block Xiao Wu's strike in time, before rolling away from his original position.

Looking at the broken Blue Silver Grass in his hand, Tang San frowned.

Only after real combat did he realize how fragile his Blue Silver Grass was.

Even with a 100% increase in toughness, it wasn't enough.

Before he could think further, Xiao Wu had already charged again with a sweet smile on her face, but her attacks showed no sign of mercy.

"Haha, Tang San, your martial spirit is so weak. Be careful~" Xiao Wu's body lit up with a red glow.

Her rabbit ears perked up, her figure grew taller, and a dandelion-like tail appeared at her lower back.

Tang San no longer dared to underestimate her.

He gathered his spirit power and stood to face her.

But his weakened body was no longer as agile as it once was, forcing him to bend low to dodge Xiao Wu's flying kick.

His eyes flashed with purple light; if his martial spirit couldn't help, he'd have to rely on the secret techniques of the Tang Sect.

Just then, a gust of wind blew from behind.

As Tang San was about to turn, the toxins in his body flared up, scattering his concentration and causing the purple glow in his eyes to fade.

"Snap!"

"Hiss—"

Tang San grimaced, feeling a sharp pain on his neck as if he had been whipped and then strangled.

When he came back to his senses, Xiao Wu's scorpion braid had wrapped around his neck, dragging him back toward Dorm 7.

"Ugh!" Tang San clutched his throat, his legs scrambling helplessly as Xiao Wu dragged him along.

"First spirit ability, Waist Bow!" Xiao Wu's crisp voice rang out as her scorpion braid tightened around Tang San's neck.

She lifted her left foot, planting it firmly on his lower back as a fulcrum.

With a sudden bend, she exerted force, lifting Tang San's feet off the ground.

Not good!

Tang San's eyes widened in alarm. The feeling of weightlessness hit him, and he was horrified to realize the sky and ground had flipped as his vision blurred rapidly.

Boom!

Tang San crashed into Dorm 7, but this time, luck was not on his side.

He slammed hard onto the ground, his whole body aching, as if his internal organs had suffered severe shock.

Blood trickled from the corners of his mouth.

Just as he tried to get up, he felt a sudden weight on his back—Xiao Wu had already stepped onto him, asking playfully, "How are you feeling? I won, didn't I?"

Tang San's face flushed with emotion.

Looking up at Xiao Wu's innocent expression and hearing her concerned tone, he suppressed his pain and helplessly nodded.

"I lost. According to our rules, since you beat me, you're the new leader of Dorm 7."

"Haha! I won!" Xiao Wu couldn't help but jump with joy, causing several groans to echo.

She turned to Wang Sheng and the other students, declaring, "From now on, I'm the rightful leader of Dorm 7. You all have to listen to me."

"Yes, Sister Xiao Wu!" Wang Sheng and the others immediately responded.

"Xiao Wu, can you let me go now?" A weak voice came from beneath her. Tang San looked exhausted.

Although Xiao Wu wasn't heavy, they were still kids, and being stepped on, especially after getting jumped on, was no small matter for Tang San's already weak body.

"Oh! I totally forgot about you! So sorry…" Xiao Wu feigned surprise and quickly hopped off his back, showing concern. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," Tang San said with a bitter smile, shaking his head.

He wasn't about to hold a grudge over the playful sparring.

After all, it was partly due to his weakened condition from the poisoning that he couldn't perform well.

"That's good to hear. Get up quickly, or you might catch a cold. And remember, you have to call me Sister Xiao Wu from now on," Xiao Wu said, putting her hands on her hips and playfully kicking Tang San's injured arm.

Tang San winced in pain, but he soon noticed Xiao Wu grabbing his clothes, trying to help him stand.

"Thanks," Tang San forced a strained smile as he got up. But calling her "sister" was out of the question.

Xiao Wu giggled at his expression. "Haha, you're such a funny guy. I beat you up, and yet you're still thanking me."

Tang San just looked at Xiao Wu, silently smiling along. Dorm 7 suddenly didn't seem as dull anymore.

"It's just sparring. I'll win next time."

"Hmph! If you don't call me Sister Xiao Wu, I'll start calling you Tang Xiao San," Xiao Wu teased, squinting her eyes mischievously.

She felt proud of herself—she beat him, and now he was thanking her. Surely, the Holy Son would be impressed with her.

Tang San's expression darkened in disbelief. She really was childish…

"Alright, Tang Xiao San, come over and eat something. Sister Xiao Wu is treating!"

Xiao Wu knew she couldn't push too far, so she quickly followed up with a treat.

"Thanks, Xiao Wu," Tang San said, dragging his tired and weak body as he limped over to sit down.

He was indeed hungry, and the exhaustion made him feel miserable.

"Tang Xiao San, how about you keep me company from now on?" Xiao Wu took her sugar-coated fruit skewer and dangled it from her mouth as she suggested the idea.

"…"

Meanwhile, outside Dorm 7 in the shadows, a figure stood faintly visible.

A foul stench, a mixture of sweat and alcohol, filled the air, attracting swarms of mosquitoes around him.

Watching the fading Blue Silver Grass on the ground, his cloudy eyes burned with rage.

His son… a genius with twin martial spirits.

And yet, his first spirit ring was white!

The shadow slowly faded into the night, leaving behind nothing but the lingering stench, as if he had never existed.

The next afternoon, outside Heaven Dou City, on a wide road.

Qian Renjue and Ye Lingling walked side by side, hand in hand.

"Thank you, Jue, for accompanying me on this shopping trip," Ye Lingling said softly, her delicate face flushed with a hint of pink.

Qian Renjue smiled and shook his head. "There's no need to thank me. We don't need to be so formal with each other."

"This was something you promised me. And it's not easy to ask you to walk such a long distance just to see me off."

"It's no trouble at all…" Ye Lingling's voice grew quieter.

In truth, she wanted to spend more time with him.

As they neared the waiting carriage, Ye Lingling hesitated, her red lips pressed together as if she was debating something.

"Lingling, I have to go now," Qian Renjue said, stopping and turning toward her.

He gently took her small, soft hand, placing a small box in her palm. "Here, this is for you. I think you'll like it."

"Thank you." Ye Lingling accepted the box, nodding slightly.

After a brief moment of hesitation, her face reddened, and she glanced at the carriage ahead.

Looking up shyly, she whispered, "Jue, I have something to tell you… Could you come closer?"

"Of course," Qian Renjue replied, smiling as he leaned down.

Warm breath brushed against his earlobe, followed by a soft, wet nibble and gentle licking. Qian Renjue froze for a moment.

Ye Lingling's shy voice trembled in his ear, "Jue, I… I don't have anything special to give you. I'm sorry… Happy birthday."

Though it was Qian Renjue who had been bitten, Ye Lingling's ears turned even redder, as if they were about to drip blood.

From the carriage ahead, Qian Renxue and Ling Yuan poked their heads out from either side, staring straight at them.
