Lou and Sean sat huddled in a room that looked like it might've been a servant's quarters at one point. Dust covered the corners, the walls had a peeling paint job, and the musty smell suggested nobody had cared for it in a while. Lou's hands and feet were tied alongside Sean's, but that didn't stop them from quietly taking in every detail of their surroundings. Sean shuffled over to the window, catching a glimpse of the main building—a mansion looming just beyond a small courtyard.
"You sure you saw my dad coming?" Lou asked, a flicker of hope lighting up her face.
"Positive," Sean replied with confidence. "I watched Uncle Aaron walk into that big house with two guys flanking him."
