Michael and David’s intervention

Michael and David’s Journey

John was sitting in his small, cozy apartment, staring at the framed photograph of him, Rebecca, Michael, and David from years ago. The smiles in the photo were genuine, yet now felt like a distant memory. It had been weeks since Rebecca's letter, and although John had responded cautiously, he hadn’t sent the letter. He wasn’t ready to face what lay beyond that paper bridge.

Just as he reached for his cup of tea, his phone buzzed. The screen lit up with an unfamiliar number. He hesitated for a moment before answering, unsure of who could be calling him.

“Hello?” John answered, his voice filled with curiosity.

“Hi, John. It’s Michael,” came the reply, soft but clear.

John’s heart skipped a beat. He hadn’t spoken to Michael in years. The last time they talked, it had been a tense and brief exchange. “Michael, hi,” John managed, trying to keep his voice steady despite the emotions bubbling beneath the surface.
