Chapter 79: Class Reunion

Arthur hung up the phone and got out of the taxi. At the entrance of the Liberty Diner, a blue Maserati stood out with its flashy design. A refined-looking man casually tossed the car keys to the valet.

"Please park the car. Here's a tip!" Gilbert said as he threw a bundle of cash and the car keys.

The valet gladly accepted the tip with a smile and parked the car in the diner's reserved spot. Gilbert, feeling particularly smug, noticed a familiar face and began showing off.

"Max, why are you still standing out here? I've already booked a table. Just go in!" Gilbert said, addressing his old classmate.

"I'm waiting for Arthur. He should be here any moment," Max replied nonchalantly.

In the past, Max might have envied Gilbert's Maserati. But now, having driven a multi-million-dollar Koenigsegg, he found the Maserati rather unimpressive.

"Arthur?"

Just mentioning Arthur made Gilbert want to laugh.

This poor guy is still as useless as ever.
