Penguin City -Book Worm's Highschool - Day

It was supposed to be a tight game of soccer but Ruby on the eagle's team made the game less tighter. The falcon's team were pushed to the edge by Ruby's crazy defence skills. Ruby didn't allow any of the opposing players to get through and that frustrated the hell out of them.

She manned the defence lines like a one man tank and never ran out of energy. The referee blew the final whistle and the game ended 5 to 0, the falcons were terrified, they had never lost to the eagles but just one new player broke their records. It wasn't the striker but the defender Ruby.

At the end of the match, all players retreated back into the school's sport facility to wash up, energize and resume back to class. Immediately, Ruby went to the wash room to take a quick bath.

On her way, she spotted Griffon who was going to the male section to wash up. He was one of the medical officials who officiated the just concluded match. They both stopped for a second.

"Hey! Griffon" Ruby called.

"Ruby.... how're you....never saw you again after you saved me from those guys" He walked over to her.

"Never saw you either. It was like you vanished off the surface of this earth." Ruby replied anxiously.

"You were amazing on the pitch today. It was almost like you had an endless supply of energy. You held the defense lines like a monster" Griffon commended.

"Thanks for the compliment.....weeks of training y'know " Ruby said as she blushed.

Griffon noticed Ruby's hair, they last saw each other two weeks ago but Ruby's hair had already grown longer than it should, it was completely not natural and he knew.

"Your hair grew longer too...willing to share your secrets?" Griffon asked with a smile on his face.

"Oh uhhhhh....yeah I noticed too but sincerely I don't use hair care products....I'm surprised at how long it grew" Ruby replied still blushing.

"Wow ....they just happened to grow longer in two weeks....I don't buy that. She held her own against the strongest school bully...she defended the eagle's team like a freaking tank, her hair grows faster than bean stocks....the last time I saw her, she basically looked like a boy but she was pretty. Now she's looking more matured and prettier than usual....she's growing faster than any girl I've seen. Could it be what I am thinking ...is she a superhuman?" Griffon thought within himself.

"Alright I'll see you soon....gotta go wash away this girly sweat.... honestly taking care of a defense line ain't an easy job " Ruby tapped his shoulders and walked towards the female section hurriedly.

She was about to enter the female section when she was stopped by Griffon

"Hey Ruby wait...." Griffon ran after her.

"Yeah...." Ruby stopped to listen

Griffon brought out two tickets.

"These are tickets to the Penguin Night Dance for Book Worms....I got two due to compensation from school community service. If you're willing, you could be my date to the dance? I promise I'll cover all the expenses .... consider this as me making it up to you for saving me from those bullies " Griffon asked.

A red lightning flashed above followed by a loud boom, the lightning flashed again and a red portal opened, a black smoke flew out of Kidogo's body with speed into the portal.

"No!!!!!" Jared yelled and....

And he woke up from the terrible nightmare on a medical bed with several machines attached to his body including an oxygen mask. He detached the oxygen mask from his mouth and heaved a sigh of relief. He tried to stand up but he was brought down by a sharp pain which ran through his spines.

He groaned in pain and sat back on the bed disappointed. He touched the bruises on his cheek and almost immediately, memories of the last fight started flashing through his eyes. He remembered the cruel Kidogo and his menacing moves. He closed his eyes and sighed in exhaustion, he didn't want to remember....he shut his memories and He looked down and spotted his bandaged leg.

"Don't worry.....you'll be fine. Once we find out where Jade and the other ground Base Heralds are" Joe said from behind startling Jared. Kennedy was also with him.

"Where's Shade?" Jared asked as he pushed himself to the limits to stand. He wanted to know where Shade was no matter what and he wouldn't stop until he found out.

"Calm down Jared.... you're not fit to stand for now!" Kennedy said as he tried to bring Jared back down but he refused to be brought back to bed. He was insistent

"Where's Shade?" Jared asked again.

"She's alive okay!" Joe yelled angrily at Jared.

Jared went silent.

"She's alive but barely.....that crazy dude's punch fractured her ribs and damaged her heart.... she's barely breathing but she's alive" Joe continued in a more calmer tone.

"We're all wounded and weak.....but all that could change. Listen....what we fought back there was a puppet....we looked up on the corpse left behind by the dark smoke that entered the portal. His name was Robby Valankov, a man who went missing four days ago in Russia." Joe stated

FLASHBACK

Call me Kidogo.....the shell's name is Robby" Jared remembered Kidogo's words, he sure wasn't lying about the names afterall and he wasn't from our world at all judging from how he was speaking.

"That smoke probably took possession of him.....we collected some remnants of the portal the smoke jumped into and sampled it with a radio I.S.O. What we found out was crazy.....the Nuclear Soda stone....the strange smoke like entity that possessed Robby Valankov, they both came from the same place, a place above ours..." Joe stated.

"Another world..." Jared interrupted.

"And when we bounced some big radio signals through the Radio ISO....we detected the ground base heralds from the bounce back effect...." Joe continued

"They're alive?" Jared asked, a glimmer of hope finally showed up.

"They're alive.....we just need to find a way to break the inter dimensional bareer to get to that world and find them. If we can" Joe concluded.

"We'll finally find out everything" Jared spoke confidently.

"We're close.....If we find them, we'll have the opportunity to heal Shade..... remember Shade's baby sister.....Jade who has healing abilities, she's part of the missing Heralds." Joe said as he turned around and exited the room along with Kennedy.

"Get some rest Jared.... we'll need you soon." Kennedy said and was about to reach past the entrance

"Hey Keneddy wait"

Kennedy stopped and turned around

"How long have I been out?" Jared asked.

"About two weeks"

Parrot City - Evening

"You have to get stronger Duke"

"I also have to get stronger" Bobby (Madrian) told Duke as they sat together on the tallest building that oversaw the whole city. The evening sun grazed the both of them before disappearing into the clouds and for a moment, one would mistake them for father and son.

"They think that I am weak without the Jobi stone but they're wrong.....the Jobi can give me more if I want. The Jobi have a higher purpose for us Duke....." Madrian said as he rubbed his head.

"Who are the Jobi?" Duke asked curiously.

"The Jobi..... they're the ones we work for. You'll meet them soon once we accomplish our mission.....remind me of our mission again duke" Madrian said

"Kill the primer...."

"And who is the Primer?"

"Elle Ruby"

"Why do we have to kill her?"

"She's a threat to the new world order of the Jobi"

"And how do we kill her?"

"To kill her.....we have to get stronger"

"Much much more stronger...now that we have established a connection with her and her family.....we will study her.....we will surpass her....then after that...we will kill her!"
