Chapter 0.09: Love is rose flower

"I covet not diamonds or pearls, but solely your companionship, for I am yours, and you are mine.

Beloved, oh beloved, with your tender touch, I could peacefully surrender.

Come, my love, in your warm embrace, I yearn to lose myself in you, to dissolve in the essence of your name, Beloved, oh beloved.

My days waltz in joy, while nights serenade, every moment submerges me as it departs.

With you, I conquer and falter, in every breath, battle, and gaze upon you, a heartfelt devotion.

In your name, all relationships find meaning, Beloved, oh beloved.

Like a garland of love, I wish to immerse myself in your essence, to sail on the vessel of love, departing from this worldly realm.

In your love, I seek salvation, Beloved, oh beloved.

This gentle intoxication intensifies, someone, with love, unveils the hidden, and now my mind revels in madness, as the world bathes in illumination.

As a newfound child, I become your ardent devotee, someone who adorns the shrine of love, Beloved, oh beloved.

I yearn not for diamonds or pearls, but solely for your cherished company, Beloved.

I do not know; only you know, that I am yours, and you are mine, Beloved.

I do not know; only you know that I am yours, and you are mine, eternally yours."

"What do you think about this magnificent song?" Ji Yan asked, displaying his charismatic smile.

Plum blossoms and flower petals were wafting in from the open window. The fragrance of flowers intertwined with the song's sweet melody, creating an almost otherworldly ambiance. The moon was so luminous that it made Ji Yan appear like an angel descended in human form to guide humanity.

"This song is dedicated to the Constellations," Ji Yan stated, leaving no room for the other person to respond.

The nanny, initially confused by the situation, was quickly overwhelmed by a sense of embarrassment and desire when she saw Ji Yan staring at her. Unconsciously, she bowed down.

Ji Yan moved toward the nanny, who was bowing, and stood in front of her. Sensing the tension in the atmosphere, he gently lifted her chin, ensuring her eyes met his.

"When I came up with this song, your face came to my mind," Ji Yan began, his voice soft and filled with sincerity. "I wonder if this is what fate desires."

"Whaat???? Pardon me, my lord. I didn't understand what you meant by it," the nanny's brows furrowed in puzzlement.

Ji Yan stared into blank space and tilted his head slightly to speak. "You see, I was destined to be king because my older full-blooded brother, got nominated as the Emperor in line. But I never wanted all of this."

Ji Yan paused, his words heavy with the burden he carried. "I was trained to be king and was pushed to the limit in mental and intellectual prowess to lead the kingdom. I was made to memorize the entire history, methodology, and ethos of Everything. Even Ancient complex Formation arts to Down to useless knowledge like how many houses are in the World.

"My childhood was completely robbed. I wanted to enjoy everything, to live like every other kid, but I couldn't achieve that dream as everything was predestined. I completely lost hope and started closing myself off, but I could still keep myself up because you were there to help me, to stay with me."

He stopped, his gaze fixed on the nanny. "I sincerely appreciate that you were there for me at all times, always offering me support. Would you be my life's true love?"

The nanny's eyes shimmered with a mix of emotions. Her heart pounded in her chest as a storm of thoughts and emotions whirled within her, including a sense of regret and guilt.

"My lord, I... I'm deeply moved by your words. I never thought that I could make such a difference in your life, but, my lord, I... I need some time to process all of this. I never expected..."

"Don't worry, I don't want to rush you into anything. Take all the time you need," Ji Yan reassured.

With a hesitant nod, her mind racing, she excused herself and left the room, her emotions running high.

Ji Yan's seductive smile vanished as she left, and his face returned to cold indifference.

His gaze then shifted to his guards who were hidden. They watched the scene unfold, unsure of the purpose behind Ji Yan's emotional revelation.

"Did you all see her flustered expression?"

"My Lord, we are unable to understand why you would orchestrate all this."

'How can I tell you, fools? I need to impress the One of the Constellations. In return for the energy released by my karma, devotion, and achievement, I can gain 'Ori' from it.' Ji Yan Thought in his mind.

For an extraordinary power that only the Constellations bestow upon humans. That was one of the most important reasons Ji Yan needed to sing a song.

"It's not something you need to concern yourselves with," Ji Yan's expression darkened with anger.

"We apologize, my lord," the shadow guard responded in trepidation.

"What about the assassin?" Ji Yan inquired; his tone laced with urgency.

"He was poisoned beforehand and imbued with external qi to kill him if anything went wrong and he survived by poison..."

"So, you failed to retrieve information?" Ji Yan's tone was sharp. "Don't forget that your failure could have led to your execution. I showed mercy by sparing you."

"We believe it was 'madam' by our investigation."

"You all really are useless. The only thing you're good at is killing." Ji Yan's disappointment was evident.

"This is what we were trained for. It's not our unit's job to do," some of the unit members thought while internally struggling.

"It was something I already guessed. She was the only one missing during dinner time, except for you guys, and she could guide me to my room despite the fact it was her first time visiting. You don't need to be a genius to figure it out. You need to remember she was trained to be my maid from childhood, so your interrogation and torture methods won't work. So, ignore this matter and kill her once she reveals the information. I'll retrieve the information from her."

"But, my lord, she is dangerous," one of the squad members objected.

I couldn't even get angry with him since he spoke in concern for my well-being, so I just gave him some advice.

"I'll give you two pieces of wisdom today: 1) Instruction is scorned by fools 2) Never doubt me."

With my reassurances, the guards exchanged puzzled glances and pondered the enigmatic situation.

These lonely fools who never interacted with anyone, who were trapped in an underground lab and always subjected to torture during their training to become True Acquired Rank Warrior and Transcended Rank Warrior, only to end up as guards forever, can never understand that love in its purest form is a rose flower and divine. I only need to use it to my advantage, I only need to harness its power, and she'll spill all she's concealing.

Well, in my past life, I would have never made these efforts. I would have simply had my juniors beat her until she confessed to her crime and split everything. But it wouldn't work on her.

Secondly, I'm a coward. If a corrupt bastard like me can get reincarnated, then surely anyone else can get a too. I will never let anyone I kill know that it was me, and if I really need to kill someone risking my identity being leaked, I'll do so after I transcend Hyper-time.
