"I give up" I said as I laid down on the ground, drenched in sweat.
This much should be fine too, right? After all, I practiced my aim in the shooting range too.
*Congrats, host. Your strength stat has upgraded (Strength:F -> F+)*
I wonder what my stats are right now?

"Damn, why is my charm that low? On a good note though, at least I am about to rank up to F+ if my agility goes up one more rank."
Although my muscles were aching and urging me to keep lying, I sat up and looked around but there were only a few people I didn't recognize here.
"Guess I'll focus on agility next. Time to do some sprinting tomorrow... or maybe dodging practice? Yeah, that sounds more fun."
I got up and decided to head back to my dorm for today.

After getting back to my room and taking a shower to take care of my body odor, I decided to look at the other matches that were fought before I went to sleep.
Thankfully, the school gave access to every student watch others fights after the first round.
I watched some matches fought by people I dont know and some matches by people I knew like Lena, Sam, Cain and Laura.
Lena and Laura were actually quite similar both in stats and in their affinity as they both had Water affinity.
But their approach was different as Lena played more defensively, baiting her opponent and then counter attacking to make her forfeit.
While Laura was more aggresive towards her opponent and forced him into bad positions to knock him out relatively easily.
As for Cain, well...
That guy is a monster on another level, just not on the level of Sam and Lucas.
Although stats wise, he may only be slightly stronger than Laura and Lena, if the battle is hand to hand than there is near zero chance he would be losing.
And thats exactly what happened.
As for Sam do I even need to say it? He is the main character after all.
He made use of his lighting affinity to strengthen his already overwhelming speed and just sent his opponent hurling out of the arena.
Looking at those fight, I judged whether I would win or lose against them and I think I would win against Lena and Laura but I would probably lose to Cain and definitely lose to Sam.
Lena and Laura, although strong, were nothing I couldn't handle.
But Cains superior physicality and earth spells to trap me would undoubtedly force me into close combat, thus me losing but if I manage to stay a distance away from him, I may be able to win.
*Host, It has come to my attention that you skipped leg workouts.*
*The system suggests you to do these exercises to strengthen your agility stat.*
Although this may not be the best time for it, I had a gnawing feeling about something for a while.
"Can I use my question now? The one I held off back then."
*Of course, host.*
"Your way of talking is strange. It is as if... you, the voice talking to me and the system itself is different entities."
"So, explain to me everything you can related to the system."
*...*
*Yes, host. You are right about me and the system being different entities.*
*I am the remnant of a soul, conveying the automated systems messages to you and acting as an mediator between you and the system bound to you.*
"The remnant of a soul... Whose soul is it?"
*I can not answer that*
"I see, continue about the system then."
*I can not do that either.*
*Even telling this is putting a strain on my soul and without me, you would have a harder time connecting to the system.*
"Well, do you at least remember your name? I'd rather call you your name instead of system since you are... pardon, were a living being at some point."
*...*
The soul's voice seemed to hesitate for a while before answering.
*No, I do not have a name and I don't want to have a name either.*
*So, please continue calling me system as you have been doing before.*
"...If that's what you truly wish, system."
The room naturally fell silent for a while, before I decided to speak up once again.
"System, even if you can't tell everything, thank you for telling me whatever you can. I appreciate you.
*...You're welcome, host.*
The voice felt more silent than usual so I decided not to press on the system any longer.
Although I tried to shift my focus back into the matches, I couldn't shake off the feeling I was close to something. I didn't know what it was but it felt... really familiar for some reason.
I decided to watch Olivia's and Rufus' matches as well since I needed something to distract me.
Olivia's match was actually pretty close as she was on the lower side of F rank stats.
But her immense knowledge about spells stemming from her education from early childhood helped her win against her opponent by her making him fall into an unexpected trap.
Rufus' match however, was not close at all.
Rufus slammed his opponent and literally toyed with him, throwing him from one side to another easily.
But it was to be expected since in the original story Rufus was a part of Class Players although he and his sister were side characters.
And the fact that while he did all this, he was still charming... god curse these main cast people who's always attractive.
I decided to go to sleep for tonight, as it was no longer important to dwell on matters I needn't investigate and neither did I want to.
As I closed my eyes, I thought whether I had been sent into this world for a specific reason or not but decided not to think about it.
And with that, I drifted off to sleep.
