Fiadh walked alongside her - the kid trotting along after as he did. His wobbly little legs took him off path, occasionally bumping into Rache or Fiadh, or causing him to stumble over something. But, as a general rule, Rache just stopped if his stumbling was more intense.
And for that matter, so did Fiadh. And usually with some more enthusiastic form of reassurance than her own. Like crouches, claps and 'you're doing great' type commentary. And...
Darrach seemed to respond well to it. He seemed more encouraged, more bold in his determination to keep up with the two - and more happy in general, she suspected.
He had this happy little...skip sort of walk, his hooves going fast click click click as his little feet went quickly to keep pace. His little ears bobbing, and sometimes his little tail wagged as his back end followed suit.
She couldn't help but smile at the little one.
He wasn't running, hopping, or jumping just yet.
