Start of the 4th year

Apparently, Harry passed out on the train because of the Dementor, but fortunately, the new DADA teacher was there to prevent the creature from doing more harm.

"I hope nothing happened to Harry."

Ginny was just worried about the person she loved.

"Don't worry. This teacher was already competent enough to push the Dementor away, so he should also know how to help him recover."

Finally, the train started moving again to complete its journey, which had been interrupted by those filthy monsters.

Upon arriving at the station, we saw, as usual, Hagrid, who was there to guide the first-year students.

They were lucky because today the sky was clear, but if they had arrived just one day later, they might have seen the castle under a full moon.

The five of us chose a carriage pulled by Thestrals to take us to the school, which was guarded by the Dementors.

"Why do they have to guard the school gates?"

"Sirius Black is still on the loose, and he could attack the school out of sheer madness."

"But that would be insane."

"Yes, but we're talking about someone who didn't hesitate to kill a dozen Muggles in broad daylight."

As if I believed that. He would never have broken out just to kill Harry—otherwise, the threat would have been around much longer.

I don't know how many pieces are missing from this puzzle, but I'm certain the picture we have right now is not the right one.

Upon arriving at school, Professor McGonagall asked Harry and Hermione to follow her.

Ron, now left alone, turned and walked toward us.

"Do you know why Professor McGonagall wanted to see them?"

"How would we know, Ron? We just got here as they were leaving."

I knew he wasn't the sharpest, but that question was absurd.

He blushed slightly before heading toward the Great Hall and taking his place at the Gryffindor table.

"This is where our paths, unfortunately, separate. But don't worry, I'm sure we'll see each other again someday."

"Marie, why are you being so dramatic when there are only two meters between our tables?"

"No one can ever understand the pain I endure from this separation."

Sometimes, I wonder if my dear friend is truly righteous.

The first-years arrived, led by Professor Flitwick.

As usual, many of them looked uneasy, wondering why there was such an old, worn-out hat sitting on a stool.

After the Sorting Hat's song and the sorting ceremony, Astoria Greengrass was placed in Slytherin, and dinner began. At that moment, Harry and Hermione entered the hall.

"Evelyn, what are you looking at?"

"Sorry, I was lost in thought."

I quickly looked away from Hermione after Marie noticed that I had been staring at her too much, and then I started eating.

Dumbledore's speech began, and he introduced two new teachers, starting with Professor Remus Lupin, who would be the new DADA teacher, and then Hagrid, who would now be the new Care of Magical Creatures professor.

This announcement was met with great applause, and I was very enthusiastic about attending his classes because he knew magical creatures better than anyone.

"It's amazing that Hagrid became a teacher."

"Once the Chamber of Secrets case was solved, Hagrid's innocence was proven, so they had to apologize for expelling him and offered him a job. We'll go to the Blissful after dinner."

Hermione was very happy, and looking over at the Gryffindor table, I could see that Harry and Ron shared her joy.

Finally, Dumbledore addressed the Dementors who would be guarding the castle, though he assured us they would not enter the school. He also spoke of the dangers they posed and warned that they could not be fooled, even with an Invisibility Cloak. This remark was obviously directed at Harry.
