Liam's POV
"That's my story," Lucia said as she prepared coffee.
Apparently, it was easier for her to talk about all of it while keeping her mind focused on something else.
Honestly, I didn't know what to say. Countless questions piled up in my mind. In fact, I might have ended up with even more doubts than when I started.
What should I do? How could I help her? Angels, demons, a sister, the power she needed to obtain… There were so many things I didn't understand that it was hard to figure out the next step.
Looking to the side, I noticed that Lila seemed lost in thought. Her gaze was intense, as if she were in another world.
I couldn't count on her to take the lead at that moment. And the uncomfortable silence kept growing.
Lilith, on the other hand, stared at me as if she were throwing all the responsibility onto my shoulders. I could only sigh, she wasn't exactly reliable in moments like this.
