24. Ursa

Bree stared at the mass of black fur that looked like it was touched by starlight when he shifted and smelled like an autumn night breeze.

"This is Glen?  He's actually an Ursa bear?"

"That's right.  It's exciting isn't it?  You have the opportunity to pick up a legendary shifter.  Isn't that what all females dream about?  But...you don't seem pleased," says Daisy.

"Why would a legendary shifter want me?  I'm just a simple bunny shifter."

"Here, let me show you something."

Daisy opened up Bree's menu and selected her previously locked Beastmen button.

"Look at you, already unlocking buttons."

After Daisy selected the Beastman button, two lists popped up on the screen as Capture Targets and Babies.

"Here we have your capture targets and here are the list of your babies, you can see the health of all your babies, their locations, and can contact them through the system as long as you are both in a town with a registered save point and they have already been hatched.  You can contact your mates the same way, but not your capture targets."

Daisy selected the Capture Target button and Glens name showed up with a pink hoizontal bar beneath it. The majority of the bar under his name was full, up to eighty percent.  Under the bar it said shy, regrets, abandonment.

"The first mate marking is always the easiest, because the marker is in full force.  Usually even an alpha mark won't instantly get you a mate, unless the mate in question is a weaker male or is deeply infatuated with you already.  The marker will also not switch to your golden bee if the mate prospect hasn't gone through his fourth shift yet. If that's the case and he accepts you, your bee marker will show up as black until he reaches his fourth shift.

Glen here is very much an adult, a very yummy adult. I mean seriously, a sweetie pie wrapped in a mountain of yummyness, what's not to like? The biggest issue with going after legendary beastmen is that it you aren't a legendary female you have to get their attraction bar up to one-hundred percent before your marker will stay or it will always fade on it's own. Once you pass your fifth shift, you can capture a legendary target at ninty percent, since you're an alpha.  Also, most shifters can't see capture targets status bars, so you do have an advantage there.  Legendary females or females that control a large area can see their capture targets status, so if you run into one of these, you may have a bit of a battle on your hands if you both want the same male.

The words under his status bar indicate some of the issues that are holding him back from his affection bar being full.  Legendary and alpha shifters will become a capture target by coming into contact with them and don't have to have a marker placed before you can see their status.  However, once any shifter becomes your mate, they will be removed from your capture target list and you won't be able to see their status anymore," says Daisy.

"But what does it want me to do about shy, regrets, and abandonment? I have a pretty good idea about what it's referring to, since I heard about their story from the past, but I'll have no idea when it comes to future targets."

Posh pops out of no where, sitting on the top of Daisy's head while filing his nails, that periodically grow back to their original length.  He rolls his eyes and throws his nail file back into his pocket space.  He stares at his claws and experimentally extends and releases them.  Then he lightly scratches the top of Daisy's head.  She squints her eyes.

"You'll figure it out, we aren't going to tie up males and deliver them to your door with apples shoved into their mouths for you," says Posh.

"Although, if you feel like doing that on your own time, I certainly won't stop you.  I'm sure there are some guys who like to be trusted up with...," says Daisy.

"Alright, well we aren't having that conversation.  Wait, are you always watching me?"

"Always!" says Daisy with sparkling and excited eyes.

"She really does, she's such a voyeur.  She watches you with the males while eating snacks sometimes, I think it may be an addiction," says Posh.

"Can I get her to stop watching if I want some privacy as some point?"

"No!"

"Yes," says Posh while Daisy squints at him.

"You just have to push the toggle button on the side of our names.  You could even just block her out if she ends up annoying you too much and you want a break from her.  She is a bit much to deal with sometimes."

"Speaking of you all, where's Deloris?"

"Deloris does her own thing, she won't come out unless she wants to.  She'll probably come out to insult you or if you die," says Posh.

"Ugh, I don't like her at alllll!  She's always trying to take away my fun and pulling Poshy Poo away from me to do dumb things like cleaning and organizing,"  says Daisy.

"Well, I guess I'll just have to avoid dyeing in the future, not like I was trying to anyway, but whatever," says Bree.

Bree was startled back to Glen when she saw him stir in his sleep.

Daisy aggressively fluttered her wings above Glen until sparkling dust drifted down on him. Once the dust settled onto him, he shifted back into his human looking form  "So do you want him? All you have to do to obtain this fine specimen of male hotness is come on up and press your bee marker right here," Daisy said while flying over to Glen and pointing at his peck.  If that doesn't suit you, you could also press your marker here," she pointed to his bicep. "Here," she pointed to his thigh.  "Or here," she pointed at his hip.  "I mean you could choose anywhere you want to press your hand, but for some locations you'd have to strip him, not that I would mind.  The bee will quickly fade into his skin, but once he decides to be your mate, the marker will appear once again," says Daisy.

Bree's face turned slightly pink as she reached out her hand and lightly touched Glen's giant bicep.  His skin was warm, soft, and firm all at the same time.  A nervous excitement shot through her body right before she quickly pulled her hand away.  She watched the dark gray bumble bee slowly disappear until nothing was left and then she silently scrambled out of the sleeping pod.

As they were all sitting down to eat breakfast together, they heard a firm knock at the front door.  Everyone glanced back at the door with wide eyes.  This past week the whole village had been looking for her all for their own reasons, which she wanted nothing to do with.

Noor grabbed Bree and Cyra's hands, pulling them into another room while Midori followed after them as Byron opened the front door.
