26 — It's not that bad

In his life, Sorn rarely felt "betrayed" by others. He had never truly formed deep connections with people, nor had he ever had a friend he could call "close." Yet somehow, he felt betrayed when he discovered Dean had lied to him.

Sure, Dean had mentioned a secret room, but Sorn had no idea there were multiple rooms and floors beyond that secret door.

There was a shooting range on one floor, a greenhouse filled with vegetables nurtured under artificial sunlight powered by technology that, as it turned out, was invented by a gay man Dean. Below that, there was a small pond full of freshwater fish and a chicken coop.

Sorn felt betrayed.

Even though he knew he had no reason to feel that way. No wonder their food supplies were abundant. The only thing that was hard to come by was meat, especially beef and pork.
