Ralf stabbed the sausage on his plate with a fork and smiled at Sorn as he chewed. He made a comment about how round Sorn's cheeks looked while chewing, but Sorn only responded with a grumble.

Honestly, the news about the difficulty of getting weapon supplies wasn't something Ralf hadn't already predicted. Since the zombie outbreak was so sudden, many security plans were far from perfect. Most of the shelters people were staying in were actually the same ones used when the gas first appeared—before the zombies.

So if no careful policies were put in place, it wouldn't just be weapons that became scarce. Food, transportation, fuel, and water would also be affected. That seemed to be the risk of military groups that cared more about polishing their image—showing off their "power" to gain public trust—rather than prioritizing people's basic needs.

"Sorn, you've been to a few villages with military flags, right?" Ralf asked.
