The man's eyes widened as he gingerly took the bundle of herbs from my hands, his fingers trembling slightly as they brushed over the delicate petals of the two most elusive plants I'd gathered.

The small, red-flowered herb in particular seemed to catch his attention, his gaze lingering on it for far longer than I expected.

"These two…" His voice trailed off as if he couldn't quite believe what he was seeing. "These are near impossible to find especially in the same day."

I shrugged, a little unsure of how to respond. "It wasn't easy," I admitted, trying to keep the weariness out of my voice, though I was still sore from hours of trekking through the dense forest and narrowly avoiding dangerous creatures. "But I managed."
