Thalindra is on a quest to find a partner in crime, someone who can match her in power and ambition, but all those she encounters bore her until she meets Alyndra.

Their first meeting is one of conflict, as Alyndra stands in the way of Thalindra's plans. But instead of seeing Alyndra as just another obstacle, Thalindra is intrigued by the younger woman's strength and the darkness she senses lurking within her. Garren, who had been listening quietly, spoke up. "We're not rushing you. But if you ever decide to take the offer, just know that we work as a team. It's not about being the strongest or the most skilled it's about trusting each other, having each other's backs."

His words resonated with me, reminding me of what Sylia had said during my test. The idea of working as part of a cohesive team was something I hadn't experienced much in my short time as an adventurer.

The thought of having people to rely on and who could rely on me in turn was appealing. But still, doubts lingered in my mind. Was I really ready for that kind of responsibility?

Before I could dwell too much on the question, Elaris clapped her hands together, breaking the reflective silence. "Alright, enough of the heavy talk. Let's show Alyndra the rest of the forest!"

Kaelen groaned, sitting up from his rock. "Do we have to? I was just getting comfortable."
