Prologue.

Crystal blue eyes, deep and sorrowful, framed by golden locks that seemed to shimmer even in the dimmest light. His nose, a perfect sculpture of symmetry, sat above a chiseled jaw that spoke of strength and determination. But today, those eyes, usually so bright, were shadowed by despair. As he stood there, his electric blue eyes—once notorious for their mischievous glint—held no trace of the infamous smirk that usually graced his lips. Instead, they reflected the pain of watching his wife crumble before him, her desperate struggle to reach him breaking his heart. He longed to hold her again, to feel her breath warm against his neck, her scent filling his senses, and her ocean blue eyes locked with his—not in fear, as they were now, but with the love and longing they once shared.

But Theodore knew this was the end.

Azul, with his formidable strength and dark witchcraft, had ensured that this time, he would fall first.

Azul is stronger and has witchcraft to aid him, but at least this time he dies first. At least this time he didn't have to watch his Gooseberry die before him.

This book is a duet and this is book 2, I suggest you read the first book before you continue but this can totally be read as a standalone because the first book is a slow burn and not as dramatic as this one, so whatever type of reader you are would determine if you're going back to know the beginning or just continuing from book 2.

Lord Theodore is book 1, here on Webnovel.

I cannot not love you.
