Chapter 19

Giovanni's vineyard was named "Vigna del Sole", a name that evoked the warmth and light that enveloped this beautiful place.

To get there, Giovanni had chartered a helicopter for himself, his sister, and their guests. Aaron and Kira were comfortably seated in the back, while Giovanni and Olivia sat in the front next to the pilot. Nikita, Aaron and Kira's bodyguard, stood nearby, ready to intervene if necessary.

The weather was glorious that day, with the sun shining high in the sky and warming the atmosphere. The helicopter ride offered breathtaking views of the Italian countryside, with its green hills and endless vineyards.

After a thirty-minute flight, the helicopter landed smoothly in the midst of the Vigna del Sole vineyards. The landscape was breathtaking, with vineyards stretching as far as the eye could see, bathed in golden light.

Giovanni, always on the lookout, couldn't help but cast longing glances towards Aaron, feeling an irresistible attraction to the young man. This excursion promised to be full of twists and surprises for all the characters in this story unfolding in the Italian countryside.

"This is even more beautiful than I imagined," exclaimed Aaron, his face lit up.

"You haven't seen anything yet," Giovanni replied, leading them towards an imposing house surrounded by vineyards.

The man taking care of the vines was named Umberto. In his fifties, he seemed to be an old friend of Giovanni's mother.

"Giovanni," he exclaimed as he embraced Giovanni. "It's been a long time. You're bringing us company," he added, laughing warmly. He was incredibly welcoming.

As they entered the house, the guests were greeted by photos of Giovanni adorning the walls, showing him alongside a handsome man and a beautiful woman, likely Giovanni's parents. However, there was no sign of Olivia in the pictures, indicating that she had a different mother than Giovanni. This information was not a secret, but it was unknown to Aaron and Kira.

Giovanni introduced them to the man, who spoke in his native language, Italian. Giovanni then explained that his guests were Russian.

"Don't worry. We speak Italian," reassured Aaron, speaking the language fluently with a slight Russian accent that added to his charm. "All three of us speak Italian," he added.

Curious, Olivia asked, "Why didn't you tell us?"

"You didn't ask. And when you first spoke to us, it was in English. We simply followed your lead," explained Aaron.

"Ah, that explains it. No problem, we'll have a great time. Come on, let me show you to your respective rooms," said Umberto cheerily.

The large house could accommodate everyone, but Umberto had staff members who stayed on the premises. Although there were plenty of rooms, space was limited.

"You're siblings, right?" Umberto asked Aaron and Kira.

"Yes, Sir," replied Aaron, causing Umberto to chuckle.

"Just call me Umberto, boy."

"I'll try."

"As we have a large group, here's how we'll organize the rooms," Umberto announced, assigning rooms. "Giovanni keeps his room upstairs, Aaron and Nikita will share the room next to Giovanni, and Olivia and Kira will stay in another room on the ground floor. Does that work for everyone?"

Everyone nodded, but Giovanni was hesitant. He wanted to share a room with Aaron.

"I understand, but Nikita is Aaron and Kira's bodyguard. If Kira is on the ground floor and Aaron upstairs, it would be difficult for him to protect them," Giovanni explained.

"But there is no danger..." Umberto began to explain that there was no danger where they were, but Olivia signaled for him to be quiet, looking at Giovanni and then Aaron. He understood what was happening and attempted to rectify the room arrangements.

"So, Giovanni and Aaron will be sharing the same room, and you ladies will be in the room next to theirs on the same floor. As for Nikita, he will be on the ground floor. Does that work for everyone?"

Everyone agreed with the new room arrangement, including Giovanni, and made their way to their respective quarters.

The girls settled in quickly and headed downstairs to get some fresh air. Nikita checked out his room before exploring the rest of the house.

Meanwhile, Aaron and Giovanni were still discussing who should sleep on the couch and who should have the bed. Aaron insisted that Giovanni take the bed since it was his, while Giovanni argued that it would be better for Aaron to sleep on the bed as he was the guest.

"Why don't we both just sleep on the bed? It's big enough for the both of us, and we're both guys. I don't mind." Giovanni suggested.

"If that works for you, it works for me too." Aaron replied, agreeing.

"And you can call me by my first name, Giovanni or Gio as my sister does."

"I can't. It's too..."

"Informal? Intimate? That's the point, aren't we friends?"

"Acquaintances, yes, but to say we are friends..."

"Oh, that's hurtful," he said while dramatically clutching his heart. "You can't... try? We are roughly the same age!"

"Okay, I will try, but I can't promise anything."

"But you do call your sister and your bodyguard by their names."

"Yes, but it's different."

"How is it different?"

"I've known them since I was little."

"I understand. But I don't like being called 'you' or 'sir', call me by my name instead."

"I'll try, but it's not easy for me. I'm not used to it."

"I'm patient, you know."

"So..." Aaron didn't know how to continue. He is debating between calling him "sir", "Giovanni", "Gio" like Olivia do or just "you". "I'm going to go see my sister, do you want to come with me or...?"

"No, go ahead. I still have some work to finish."

"Okay." Aaron nodded before leaving. Giovanni didn't have any work to do, but he had an urgent need to satisfy since he learned he would be sharing a room with Aaron. So, he decided to head to the shower to take care of that "need".
