The beeping of the machine in the hospital room was the only sign that Jason was still alive.
David left the hospital ward and sighed when he saw his wife resting her head on their son's bed.
He walked to her and gently tapped her.
Cecilia opened her eyes and turned to see the person who had woken her up. "You are here."
"Where else should I be?" David asked. He glanced at his unconscious son and said, "You need to get some rest on a bed. You have been here for the past three days."
"I have this feeling that he will soon open his eyes, and if he does not see me, then he will be sad."
"Cecilia."
"Just for today. If my baby boy does not wake up today, then I will go back home." Cecilia said and looked back at her son with a watery gaze. She squeezed his hand to show that his mother was still with him and then felt David's hand on her shoulder.
"You can stay, but at least you need some fresh air. Go take a walk for fifteen minutes."
