THE WEDDING (4)

Laurel didn't want to confront James right there and then because she knew it would cause a scene, and they were still in the wedding. She didn't want to ruin this moment, nor did she want to air her family's dirty laundry.

"I will use your phone for a while," Laurel said and then walked away without waiting for James to reply. She called Daniel and asked where he was. "I will come to you."

Daniel was sitting in his wheelchair, watching the fireworks that split the night beautifully when Laurel found him.

"Ranon wasted our family's money for this party," Laurel said sardonically. Like always, she misplaced her anger and frustration.

"The money that he works for." Daniel smiled at Laurel. "We would have been in big trouble if he didn't step in and save our company."
