To The De Noir's Castle of Doom

I awoke to the bright sunlight shining on my face. With a yawn I look around to see my cousin laying down next to me and the book in both of our laps. I must of fell asleep! No! I carefully take the book off of our lap and put it onto the bedside table. I run downstairs and into the kitchen. Marmaduke smiles at me while chuckling a bit, "a little late aren't we? Didn't even have time to get dressed?" I roll my eyes, "I fell asleep in Maria's room. Where are the biscuits and milk?" Maraduke pops up in front of my, biscuits and milk in hand. "Right here little guardian!" He grins and shoves the plate of biscuits and glass of milk into my hands. "You might want to hurry before she wakes up." I nod then bolt up the stairs careful to not spill any of the milk or biscuits. Each stair seemed to get colder as I make it up to the tower where Maria's room is. I quietly open the door and sigh in relief to find her sleeping form undisturbed. I tiptoe over to the bedside table and place the biscuits and milk on it. Maria shifts positions and I quickly run out of the room, then carefully shut the door. Dang Maria is a pretty heavy sleeper, I dont walk very quietly, seriously I sound like an elephant stepping on bubble wrap no exaggeration! I then walk to my room and kneel in front of my chest full of clothes. "What to wear, what to wear?.." I mutter to myself and sigh. I have way to many clothes and it takes forever to choose. I pull out one of my only dresses; it is red and black. The long sleeves are black and  the top part from the waist is red. The actual dress part is a silky black material. I take my night clothes off and slip the dress on over my head. The silky material is cool and soft on my skin. The only reason I wear this is because it was my mothers. I grab my knee high boots and quickly slip them on. I then head to Maria's room and she was already up and dressed. Her dresses were quite odd and had something on the back. "Oh hello Aliha." She says with a smile. "Good morning Maria. Would you like to go riding today?" (I will be semi going with the plot now xD) I ask with a smile. "Of course!.. But I don't know how to ride.. And miss Heliotrop always says how-" She says and I interrupt her, "Lets go, we can have breakfast at anytime!" I say and Maria nods, "im not very hungry anyway." I grin and we both head out to the stables. I walk right up to Cinder, my white and light gray horse. Now Maria stayed as far away as she could from the horses and flinched every time one of them sneezed. I chuckle, this poor girl has been told that these beautiful creatures are unpleasant and vicious animals, which isnt even close to true. "Here you can ride Periwinkle, she's a bit feisty but she's a noble steed." Maria causiously and slowly makes her way over to Periwinkle and I. I smile a bit, "dont worry your a Merryweather, riding is in your blood." I say trying to lessen her fear, "Just hold out your hand, take my word for it, I can assure you it will stay attached to your wrist." I say while patting Periwinkle's long silky mane. Maria holds her hand out and tightly shuts her eyes, every so slowly she move her hand closer to Periwinkle's face. Once she makes contact the back of her hand glides quickly but in a soothing matter across Periwinkle's soft coat. She opens her eyes and smiles. My smile grows, she looks quite good next to a horse if I may say. Maria walks closer to Periwinkle and hugs her gently around the neck. After a bit of bonding she kisses her between the eyes and looks at me with eyes shimmering with happiness. "See I told you." I say with a triumphant grin. "Now lets go." I say while mounting Cinder. Maria struggles a bit trying to get onto Periwinkle but eventually gets on her back. I grin then lightly nudge Cinder with my heel. She begins to walk out of the stables and Maria mimics my movement and Periwinkle walks out of the stable. "Hiya." I say while gently urging Cinder into a trot. Maria does the same with Periwinkle and she trots beside Cinder and I. Maria takes quick glances of the forest every once in a while as we ride through town. "Whats so special about the forest anyway?" She asks me. "Nothing much. Dont tell my father but we can go inside if you follow my lead and do nothing stupid. Maria gives me an offended look and I chuckle. "Ok I promise." She says with a small sigh and I nod. "Come on." I say while directing Cinder towards the forest. Maria follows close behind with Periwinkle. I pull on Cinder's reins to stop her and Maria does the same. We both hope off of our steeds and approach the forest. Maria was itching with excitement and I chuckle. "What?" She asks with furrowed eyebrows, "whats so funny?" I just chuckle more. "You. Your excitement is amusing." I reply while turning my head to look at her. Maria laughs a bit and we walk into a slight clearing. Inside the clearing was a cage with a rabbit in it. The De Noirs.. Is all that popped into my head. "Maria don't touch-!" I say quickly but it was to late. She had bent down to open the cage's lid saying, "aw who did this to you?" I run towards her. Damn her kindness.. "One trap three catches." Said an awfully familiar voice. And damn him in general.. "Ah De Noir!" I say while turning around to face the young male. Four De Noirs that I could see where surroundings us. Each one had to be pretty damn tall.. Figures.. "Nice to see you again Merryweather!" He says sarcastically with a smirk. "Oh but its dreadful to see you!" I say returning the smirk as he advances towards me. One of the other De Noirs have already grabbed Maria who was feistily slapping him.. I really need to teach her how to hit.. Thats just pathetic.. He walks closer and I step back not wanting him to grab me. I hit into Maria who had just gotten free from the other De Noir. We both stumble and trip on each other but Robin grabs our wrists preventing us from falling. "Ack now I have De Noir germs." I say childishly with a smirk while trying to pull my arm away. Maria does the same but to no prevail. "My father is dying to make your acquaintance." He say with a smirk as Maria starts to smack him. I mentally facepalm kicking Robin's knee. He groans in pain and lets go of my wrist. However he catches Maria's other wrists as she grabs his hand. She spots the scar on his hand she made while they attacked our carriages. "You?!" Maria gasps then yanks out of his grasp. "Maria come here.. Stand behind me.." I say while drawing a few throwing knives from my boots. All the De Noir's except for Robin chuckle. He knows what I am capable of, even at a young age. Suddenly a growl was heard and Rolf ran out of the clearing and tackled Robin to the ground. "Its the demon dog!" One De Noir shouts. Robin backs away while looking at him. "Robin lets go!" Another shouts and Rolf barks fiercely at him. Robin quickly gets up and bolts towards the others. "Rolf!" Maria shouts and hugs him. She then walks over to the rabbit and frees it. She then places it into her bonnet and smiles at me. I sigh, "lets go." I say then head out of the forest. Maria and Rolf follow contently. We arrive at the mansion ten minutes later and walk through the door. My father was sitting in his chair and Rolf trot over to him and sits next to him. "Did Periwinkle give you an educative ride?" (Idc if that's not what he said lol) "I have a hare." Maria says holding up the rabbit. "That there is a rare moonacre hare. A beautiful and serene creature, stay out of the forest child." He looks at me, "and you should know better." I give him a sheepish smile. "Since you took it from the forest it is your responsibility.. And with your knowledge of animals I doubt it will live to see the daylight." Maria shoots him a small glare and I roll my eyes. "Lets go Maria im sure you'll do fine." I reassure her. "Im going to call her Serena." Maria looks at me and I spot Mrs. Heliotrop. "Run its your grandma lady!" I whisper shouts and grab a hold onto her arm. I bolt up the stairs dragging Maria with me. "Grandma lady.." Maria chuckles. "Yes grandma lady ok? She's just something..." I sigh and Maria smacks my arm. "Hey she may be something but she's still a  my grandma lady!" She says trying to look and sound upset. I couldnt take it and start laughing like crazy. Maria joins me and we laugh so hard we cry. Maria was pretty awesome and It was nice having another girl my age around. "Ok tomorrow Im teaching you to hit. But for nowww.. Lets read that book of yours!" I say excitedly and Maria puts Serena on her bed. I grab the fairly large book from her nightstand and sit on the bed. Maria sits next to me and I open the book. "Hey she looks like you!" Maria says while pointing to a girl next to a guy that looks like Robin. "Weird... Wait.." I scan the page and gag. "Ew first off her name was Isabelle and his name was Drake. They were also getting married.. Double marriage huh?.." I saw slightly disgusted. Maria chuckles, "yeah.. Wait then who's this guy." She asks while pointing to a guy with red hair and electric blue eyes.. He has the attire of a De Noir and he looks just like one of Robin's friends.. "Well why do you want to know he's in the background.." I ask curiously. "Well um he looks like the guy from a bit ago in the forest." She says looking at me. Uh oh.. Do i smell something untold?... Guess its to the De Noir's castle of morons.. "Come on Maria we're going on an adventure! To the De Noir's castle of doom!" I chuckle making fun of them. This isnt going to end well I can feel it..
